Bad Management and old carpet
This hotel was a bad 2-star. There isn't much option of places to stay in Shelby. If you know you will be spending the night I'd recommend booking the Comfort Inn beforehand. Shelby was a roadtrip stop for us. We got there at 2am on a weekday and the Comfort Inn was booked. We ended up staying the night at Crossroads Inn. Not the end of the world but definitely not pleasant. While the night clerk was friendly, the next morning, management was very unfriendly. Carpets are old and kind of gross.
