Cherry Tree Inn, Billings

The compassion shown to me while my husband was in the hospital was extraordinary. They were very helpful with any questions I had! I would recommend it to others. I was there a week. Can't say my experience that week was fun but they always cared about how my hubby was doing and how I was doing!

The people at the front desk were RUDE, all of them. They were not helpful about anything and acted like they couldn't be bothered. I asked for a non-smoking room for which I was told that they were all non-smoking. I asked to see a room and at first glace did not look too bad. However, after I unpacked my things I noticed that the room had not been vacummed due to garbage on the floor, there were open bars of soap on the sink and in the bathtub. And, there were cigarette burns on the carpet and on the chairs. The next day I informed the morning clerk that the maid could leave my towel and I would reuse it again. In addition, I asked that the wad of gum stuck on the lamp shade be removed and the knob be fixed on the lamp so I could use it. That night when I returned the towels were gone but they left me one and didn't bother to leave a bath mat. The bed was unmade, the room still had not been vaccummed, the wad of gum was still on the lamp shade,the lamp still had a missing knob and the garbage was not removed. I was tired and frustrated and did not bother to let the rude clerks know about this plight until morning. The next evening when I returned to my room the bedding was in a pile on the floor and nothing else had been done to the room. This time I was livid and went straight to the clerk who acted like she didn't give a hoot. However, the maid was there promptly and made my bed and took out the garbage etc... I will never stay there ever again or recommend a dog to stay there.

We do not usually stay here but our normal place was booked so we stayed here due to previous good reviews of this hotel. Those reviews were WAY OFF!! The night clerk was very rude. I asked if they had a coffee pot in the room and he simply pointed to the coffee pot in the lobby and said it's here. I asked about wireless and the same as the reviewer from 4/14/10, said some rooms yes, some rooms no. I asked if our room had it and he shrugged his shoulders. Turns out, it was a no for us, room 223. They offer a medical rate but was very expensive especially compared to the surrounding hotels and the condition of the room. I knew the other hotels were booked so had no real choice but to stay here with 2 small children. When we walked in the room the window was wide open and it was raining, there was a washcloth mixed in the bed, the chairs were stained, and 1 was so wobbly I was scared to sit in it. the shower had hair in the drain, there was no water pressure, and had to have my head touching the wall to get my hair wet. I also could have taken a bath after my shower it was so filled with water from lack of drainage. There was no stopper for the sink, the thermostat had to be from the 50's and I couldn't see the temp in the room as the center of the thermostat had cracked all the way down and blocked the view of the temp The only good thing about the room was the beds were relatively new and the tv was a flat screen. The lobby was very nice and the nicest part of the whole hotel. The exercise room has a sauna in it however, I wouldn't use either from the condition and looks of it. The room was dirty and unkept. I would NOT recommend to others.

The first thing I was checked in and told how to get to my room and when I arrive the maid was still cleaning so sttod in hall and waited. Then the write up on the Cherry Tree Inn says they have free wireless internet in your room ready for use that is a big joke the guy at front desk said it may work and my not some have it some don't. It's did't work and that one reason why I booked a room there. No more..

Visiting Billings because of medical plans? Close to Hospital! Save $$ and time and stay at a decent, reasonable but old motel. No.. its not the Ritz, but heck, its significantly less than the name chains. Bit worn but clean and safe. Good lighting, locked after hours. plenty of parking. Donuts and coffee in the AM.

We stayed there last month when my wife had some medical things to get done at the Billings Clinic. We were very pleased with the rooms and staff there. It will be where we stay when ever we go to Billings for pleasure or business. I would recommend it to anyone going to Billings, a great place.

The Cherry Tree In is a diamond in the rough...Everyone who works there is Friendly and more than willing help with inquiries for information or assistance. Their proximity to the Billings Medical Corridor is great and their rates are very very affordable. I have no complaints and will continue to stay at the Cherry Tree Inn for ALL my by business trips to Billings and not just the trips that are medical relatated.

A clean room with good comfort. Had a nice curbside appeal. Didn't seem compatable with road work and busy traffic and medical bldgs. If you needed to be close to medical facilities, this would be a good choice for location and price. It is not close to interstate exit, so it isn't good choice for easy on-easy off. The eve front desk guy was not the most personable person I would want in time of trouble.

Close to Downtown and Hospital. Also in area where I grew up. Most people were "OK" friendly but not real friendly. Room was clean but needed a little fixing up. Over all Great experience.

We either stay here at the beginning of our vacation, if we have a late flight in, or the night before we fly home. We love it. It is quiet, homey and clean. We are looking forward to staying here in about 10 days.
