Do not stay here.....
By Dena, 9/13/10
My husband, me, and my mother was traveling from PA to TX so we stopped here when we couldnt take the car anymore that day. After paying 93 dollars at check in, we went up to our room which was on the third floor..no air in the halls, and the air was not on in our room. We turned the air on and it was not working. My husband called the front desk and the guy sent up a kid who looked 14 at most. He told us it was because we had it set on 10 and not on 6 or 7(yeah right). We were told to wait an hour and it should cool down. It didn't and let me tell you it was hot. They finally let us swich rooms, so we had to go turn the air on in the other room and wait. That one did work in the second room, but the refrigerater didn't, and the room smelled. But we decided no frig and a bad smell was better then sweating to death. We were not offered a discount or anything. All they had for breakfast the next morning were boxed hostess donuts and cerial...I stayed at many super 8's but will never ever stay at this one again. On our way back home we passed this super 8 and stayed at another one which was 35 dollars cheaper, cleaner, had air, and had a better breakfast.

Very pleased with this hotel
By Rhonda, 7/31/10
We booked online thru hotels.com and stayed 4 nights at this hotel. We were on the 3rd floor but we were at the back of the hotel which is where the pool is at so that wasn't a bother at all with 2 kids. Housekeeping came in daily and changed sheets and made the beds. We were close to 6 flags which we went to while there. The refrigerator worked very good and the air conditioner did also. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the pool was kept clean. If we were to go back that direction we would definately stay here again. The only problem we had was my 8 year old daughter sleeps with a love buy stuffed animal that disappeared one day while we were gone. We think it may have been in the blankets or sheets when they changed the bedding and nobody could find it before we left and my daughter was very disappointed. The clerk said we could call in a few days to see if they had found it but I would have to arrange for UPS to come pick it up and pay to have it shipped. I thought they should have shipped it to us if found but that is the only flaw or complaint I have about this hotel. They say they have laundry facilities which they do have 1 washing machine and 1 dryer and charge $2 to wash and $2 to dry and it is under the stairway not in a laundry room. The continental breakfast was good, coffee, juice, donuts, cereal, and waffles. To my suprise they restock it when low so everyone gets some. I was skeptical about this hotel when I booked it but it was a very pleasant suprise and we enjoyed the whole week there. I would definately reccomend it. Much cheaper to book ahead of time though. On website I think it says $69 a night but heard them priceing it to people at $79 a night when they would come in. When they said they would go down the road and see if it was cheaper they automatically went down $10. We booked online and only ended up paying around $50 a night.

Not Disablity Friendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/9/08
We arrived and I went in and told the male clerk that we had to bring our 2 pets with us. Our dogsitter had had a stroke the nite before and we had no option. He said np. We had stayed here a yr before and e1 was friendly. A yr ago they let us have a room on the bottom floor down by the ice machine. In/out thru the ramp, was easy. Well this time they put us at the very north end of the motel. Now were both disabled and I walk with 2 canes. Had to park our car at the north end and walk all the way around to the front entrance just to unload the car and load it the next morning. I asked if they couldnt get us a room closer to the door and he said NO. Well we wont be staying there anymore. And the bathrooms are so tiny, about the right size for a midget. If your disabled , I would think twice about staying here .And the middle of summer there is no A/C in the hallways, work up a good sweat.

Super 8 not so "Super"
By Tammy S., 8/15/08
We spent 2 nights at the Super 8 in Eureka, MO in Aug. 2008. To say we were displeased with the hotel would be an understatement. Our room was one of the most poorly cleaned rooms we have ever stayed in. There was a sticky ring on something on top of the microwave. We found a small, round, dark chunk of something under the table. Our daughter' insisted it was animal droppings but the room we stayed in was a no pet room. The mirror in the bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while, either. There were stains on the boxspring, of one of the beds, that were yellowish in color. It was disgusting and was not covered by any fitted mattress protector. The A/C worked well but was VERY noisy. It was not turned on prior to our arrival and there was no A/C in the 3rd. floor hallway. It was summer and it was hot! We left for a while until the room cooled down. Due to a chronic health issue, we were up late on our final night's stay and overslept the following morning. We woke up at 10:55 and checkout was 11:00. My husband went down to the desk (because the phone in our room had no dial-tone) and explained the situation to the girl at the desk. She informed us that she would not be able to give us a courtesy late check-out and we would have to "get out" quickly or she would have to charge us. She was very nice but her "manager" would be angry if she did so. We hurried and gathered our things as quickly as we could. By 11:15, housekeeping was at the door asking if we were still checking out. They reported our late exit to the manager who was displeased with his employee and we were told it would cost us an extra $10 per hour if we didn't leave immediately. We were out by about 11:40 and not charged but were very upset with the poor treatment we received. Apparently, their reason for wanting us out so fast was they "had already turned away 5 people who wanted early check-ins". So, they may cater to those checking in but don't expect to be treated that well when checking out. By the way, we did not ask or benefit from early check-in and arrived at 10pm our first night. We have only ever stayed in one worse hotel...EVER! Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel.

extra pillows would be nice...
By G., 9/1/07
To begin, the first room we were so graciously checked into had a non-functional mini-fridge. We requested a room change and were assured they would fix the fridge in the first room. The second room was okay, not much to brag about, but okay. When the time to retire for the evening came, I called to the front desk to request a few extra pillows because there were only 2 on the queen bed. I personally sleep with at least 2 for myself. The lady at the front desk informed me that they do not have ANY extra pillows. None. We had to drive to the local Walmart to fufill our pillow requirements. For those who intend to stay here, bring your own pillows or extra ammentities because they do not have ANY EXTRA here. Also, only 2 towels are available in each room. You might be able to call for more, however, they didn't have pillows (with at least 40 empty rooms), so you might not have any luck getting more towels.
