Bugs in the bed!

I found 2 small bugs in the bed when I woke up. I was seriously grossed out. Not sure if they were bed bugs or not. But they looked about the right size. Disgusting place. Also, when I first got to the hotel, there were people stuck in the elevator. It took forever for anyone who worked there to do something about it. The service was terrible, and the employees were not friendly.

AWFUL!

First of all, I would like to say when my friend and I first went to the hotel to check out their suits for a bachelorette party for a VERY specific date, April 25th, the staff was so helpful and the price was great. We left to see other hotels but in the end we chose this place and booked it over the phone...boy do I wish I could turn back time. So Sunday the 19th I was balancing my checkbook and verifying transactions online when I noticed that I was billed for the hotel room... Due to this EARLY and UNAUTHORIZED transaction, my bank account was negative. Thanks Quality Inn and Suites. So I called the hotel and said you guys charged me early...they said no, we didn't. You booked it for the 18th. I was furious. Tom, the man I spoke with, said there was no way they could have made that mistake. I later WROTE the manager an email regarding this. NO RESPONSE. I called the next day. NO PHONE CALL BACK. RUDE AND UNCALLED FOR. I no longer wanted to stay at this anti-customer service establishment. When I asked for a refund Tom said I couldn't have one but I could still have it on the 25th...I had no choice but to stay there or I would have been out that money. Plus, we had been planning on the 25th all along for this IMPORTANT event and I was worried we wouldn't be able to find a room anywhere else in such a small time frame. As for my bank account, because of the HUGE mistake done by Mike Quinn, the man who booked my room, I have no access to ANY of my funds for about a week until the bank clears all this up. ( US Bank told me specifically that my overdrafts were a DIRECT reslut of Quality Inn and Suites) My friends and I stayed there this past Saturday and the staff had their shirts untucked and looked so unprofessional. The rooms were clean but one wall had this huge smear on it and was pretty gross. My friends and I will NEVER EVER stay there ever again... even if offered a free room, I would not stay there in a million years. I am telling everyone I know about this awful hoteI and hopefully they will follow suit. I know the manager is going to respond to this saying that their employees verify each reservation but you know what, MICHAEL GALER? They did give me a confirmation number but it was BOOKED WRONG AND MIKE MESSED IT UP...not me. I know what day I wanted and what I CLEARLY said when I visited the hotel and when I called that very day. Outright ridiculous! Also, thanks for your courteous phone call back. You are so professional. Never book a room at this POORLY run place.Thank you for your time.

Planning on returning

We spent a couple of nights. Great room. Quiet. Unlimited coffee. Great breakfast. Pool was a little cool...but it was bitter cold outside. We will drive miles out of our way to stay here again. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Good experience. Decent rates.

gross

The breakfast room was dirty and sticky we asked if the employee that was serving could wash our table off he said he would try and find something to clean it off and finally came over with some stinky cleaner sprayed it on the table and cleaned it off although our feet still stuck to the floor ,also we got there first thing maybe 20 mn. after they started serving and there was no coffee left and no other made the rooms were fair the elevators were slower than I have ever seen and lobby floor was sticky yuk also no towels at the swimming pool.

Never again

There was no attendant at the front desk when we arrived; dead tired after driving from Denver, 800 miles. We arrived at around 1:30 AM. I had to wait for 25 min before someone appeared and then he did not even have the reservation which I'd made online correct. Their indoor pool was too cold; our phone ceased working and it took them half a day to fix it; I was once locked out of my room while my son was sick and sleeping in the room (again at night when I'd just went to my vehicle briefly) and was given the third degree. ie... asked for ID which I did not have as my purse was UP in my room. That night I also waited for 15 minutes before anyone appeared at the front desk. I'd even called the front desk from their lobby, about 15 feet away from the desk; guess what? NO ONE answered the phone either. I had to stand there and wait until the attendant decided to appear. So very unprofessional and not the hospitality one would expect in the South.

Ecellent AND Pet Friendly!

This is a great place to stay! The staff, especially Michael Quinn was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean (kudo's to housekeeping!) and the best part is that they are a pet friendly hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. I will stay again every time we go through St. Charles. Congrats on a great hotel and staff!

Love this place

My friend's family stays at this hotel every summer for almost a week and I have went for the last few years and I love it. There is a rather large group of us and we always have a great time and the staff is extremely wonderful to us. The rooms are great and the price is wodnerful. I look foward to our trip every year and knowing we have a great hotel to stay at makes it all the better

power outage

I checked in on 1-13-07 after 5:00pm. When we walked into the room in smelled of mildew. At about 3:00am the power went out. I was up all night trying to keep my children warm. About 6:00am I went to the front desk to ask for more blankets and was told that they were shutting the hotel down and we had to leave. I asked about a refund and was told to call back Tuesday morning to speak with the manager. When I called Tuesday morning all I recieved was the managers voice mail and no return phone call or answers.
