A Nice and Clean Place
By Chris, 09/24/08
I stayed in this motel over one weekend while in Missouri. The place was spic and span clean as it looks from outside. The employees very friendly and warm. I had a great time while I stayed there. The price is reasonable for the accomodation. I recommend this motel to anyone planning to visit Springfield, MO. I myself plan to stay there again on my next trip.

The worst experience ever
By Erin, 08/29/08
I thought this place was great on the outside. The room I had was not very clean, there was pubic hair in the bathtub and one of the beds smelled like mildew. I dont think it was the covers, it was just the bed itself. The neighboring rooms were very loud and disturbing when it became dark outside. In the morning, the owner/ manager became very rude and even physically hostile when my sister made the room smell like smoke from coming in from outside. They literally walked inside the room at that time and started grabing our belongings and putting them outside. I called the Springfield police and a full report was made. The police informed us that Krystal Aire Inn in Springfield, Missouri was known for treating customers badly. The police also told us that was not the first complaint on the owners/management. If I was able to stay to continue the processes of the Springfield court, I would have gladly pressed charges on the management/ owners in which I was entitled to do so. Krystal Aire Inn charges a high rate for bad treatment, cleanliness. and service. I would not recommend Krystal Aire Inn in Springfield, Missouri to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

Won't go back
By Steven, 08/04/08
They claim to be a "smoke-free" motel. That was appealing to me, as Springfield, MO reaked of smoke the last time I was there. What I wasn't prepared for was employees sitting outside smoking --- whom I had to walk by to get their "breakfast". Eggs were terrible, sausage was OK, there was NO FRUIT no orange juice (they had lemonade TANG as "juice"). This hotel had been a "Best Western...." I should have avoided this place. There were several motels next to this motel. I should have seen a "red flag" when they told me I could cancel my reservation 48 hours ahead of time, not the day of the reservation (by 6 PM) as is typical for most motels.

Worst Hotel I've Stayed At
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/08
I have a few things to say about this hotel. First of all, the breakfast wasn't exactly how I expected. The sausage was okay but other than that the breakfast wasn't that good. The eggs thasted a little wierd. The english muffins weren't tht great and the coffee was terrible. Finally, check your bill. We were overcharged on several items and if we weren't looking at our bill we would've paid over $100 extra. We tried to explain to the manager but he had already charged us. And then he refused to take away the extrra charge. My advice, I wouldn't stay there if I were you.

Just what we needed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/08
My wife and i stayed on may 6, 2008. We'd had some car trouble, and the place was in my AAA guide as bein' pet friendly. The room was nice, the guy who checked us in was polite and friendly (even gave my wife lotion for her sunburn-Bath and Body works, with aloe), and breakfast was excellent. Didn't have juice, but orangeade and lemonade were fine considering the hot items made up for it. I didn't meet a single staff member who was less than pleasant. the only thing that was a little bad about the stay was parking. Our room was at the back, and the lot is a bit funny shaped.

Holiday Weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/08
We stayed at the hoel over the Memorial Day weekend. The location is nice, just off of the highway, and the rooms were very clean. It's a non-smoking hotel: they don't just SAY non-smoking, they MEAN non-smoking! Our family travels quite a bit, and the breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever eaten. It's not often that you find hot items at breakfast, but we stayed three days and had a differant hot item every day. The staff were all polite almost to a fault, and the overnight clerk was exceptionally nice. We checked in at 2 AM, and not only were we waited on immediately, the guy was downright pleasant. We plan to stay here again, especially now that the pool's open for the season.

bad nite
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/18/08
my wife spent the nite of 4/9 there it was not good about 1:00 am the smoke alarm started to beep every 5 min`s called the desk and they had know clue what to do. i asked for a new battery ok i`ll get you one sir 45 min`s later called desk again. he had the battery but did`nt know what room. got a new battery and i replaced it. he did`nt know how. now its 2:30 tried to sleep it`s still beeping called the desk again no help did offer to move us but its close to 3:00 raining (tornodo watch in effect & we had and outside room) i got permission from him to remove the alarm i unpluged it and he came by picked it up. one other thing the toilet bowl would not empty with one flush required at least 2 and it came close to over flowing each time. i talked to the duty manager in the morning he was sorry but the attude from him was what could he due about it. i asked for the manager not available long story but after 7 days of calling him he never returned my calls. on day 7 the same duty manager told me that i would get a 10 dollar refund to my credit card. take it or leave it. krystal aire is not a franchize. so i have to take it i have learned my lesson. we won`t be back (we got to springfield at least once a month) from now on we will stay with a national chain.

DONT LET THE GOOD REVIEWS FOOL YOU
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/08
I have stayed at this hotel many times- But something has happened, stayed there about a week ago, and I dont know if it has changed owners, but there is a whole new staff than I remember. The new staff is rude. On top of that the room was not nearly as nice, and they have stopped using bath and body works products which i LOVED. We will never go back there again, Beware of this hotel. It is either owned or ran by different people than the owners than when I stayed before and I only stayed at the hotel to begin with because of all the good reviews, and it was nice at that time, but not anymore, like i said dont believe what the prior reviews say
