Americas Best Value Inn, Starkville

We had to come into town for a family emergency and we usually stay at another hotel down the street. (It was full). The room was disgusting, rusted water (don't even think about taking a shower), too many ants and bed bugs. We usually do not write a review, but this place needs to be reported to the better business bureau for an unhealthy environment! The sad part about the stay was we were charged $115.00 a night.

I don't do reviews. But I feel I should give a heads-up on this hotel. The room was bad. -More than half of the lights did not work. Bulb? Power? I do not know. -Smoke detector was missing. -Want to take a shower? No towels or wash cloths in the room. Had to ask and the desk for them but she could not find any bath towels, so I used two hand towels. -The floor had been vacuumed but around the wall it was dirty. -The bathroom counter was falling and stained. -I put a chair in front of the door, because the lock looked very damaged and weak. -Part of the hotel was roped off with chains. -I was the only one in a room on the side of the hotel I was in. -Milk, apple juice, empty coffee pot, cereal and chocolate muffins was the Continental breakfast. -Wi-Fi was only in the front of the building. Yep, my room was in the back and I could not log on. -No coffeepot in room. -The upstairs’ A/Cs drip water along the walkways downstairs. -Not that I cared, I did not want to swim, but the pool water was a light green shade. I would have found another hotel but it was late and I was road worn.

This hotel is not bad. It is good enough for an overnight stay or even a weekend. There is no swimming pool and the property is slightly dated, but the staff is friendly and accommodating. I have stayed here a few times. The room was clean and didn't smell. The air conditoning worked and the parking was ok. It's easy to find and is in a pretty good location to the local restaurants. I'd stay here again simply because it's affordable and clean.

my family and i stayed at americas best in may,08-09,2009 .we had a suite which included a jacuzzi.the motel management and employees went out of their way to provide conviences,continental breakfast pool and conversation.we will go back in 2010 during a conference we attend each year at mississippi state.the prices were as good as other inns in the area and better than some.

rooms are better than before. grandiet bathrooms and a great service, high speed internet, room was very comfortable, and the location is great. and same as the last persom said below | V

This hotel is disgusting. We paid 95.00 per night and there was hair in the bathtub. The walls were smeared with something!! There is NO swimming pool. The vending machines were empty. Horrible experience, worst hotel I've ever seen. Is not a RAMADA. Ramada should do something about them using their name, because they are hurting their reputation.
