Stay was ok but not out of this world

The pool was cold 60 degrees ... whirlpool broke..The resturant only served bar baskets The halls smelled of chlorine ...

Great location for TCF Bank Stadium

The Days Inn Midway in St. Paul turned out to be the perfect place to stay for a Gopher Football weekend. No parking hassels and only minutes from TCF Bank Stadium. The staff was very friendly and the room and hotel was clean. The kids loved the pool. We finished off the weekend with a great breakfast at Tracks restaurant.

Great Service

I came thru amtrak at about 11:00 pm. I was only staying two night untill my next train came in. I called the hotel for a shuttle and they were there within five min. when i came to check in. the lady was verry nice and quick about checking me in. The other guy there all so helped me bring my bags to my room. and the rooms were so nice with one of the best beds ive ever slept in. when it came to check out the driver was verry nice. i would stay here again

The Best Hotel Ever!!!!

I came in to vist saint paul and apon entering i was greeted with friendlyness,the lady who checked me in was sooooooooo helpfull and i needed help with my bags and someine was there to help me. the pool was very clean and the hottub was nice and HOT!!! The room was great and very clean the beds were nice and soft and the bathrooms were spotless. its nice to see that the employes take pride in there hotel!! If you have to stay in the saint paul area i would Stay here :)

Better than expected

I was a little nervous after reading the reviews, but I was very suprised. I only paid 69.00 but with the tax it was 75.00 or so. Looked like alot of construction when I check in but the older woman at the desk explained that they were putting in all new windows and AC units and my room was already done. The beds were great and the room was clean. It was a little hard to find but the food, at leats the breakfast was good. High speed wireless net worked well. I did not use the pool but it looked good. Better that expected.

no security!

Motel is in a bad neighborhood, and when I asked for a person to help me with my bags, desk person explained that she couldn't leave the desk and was the only person working there! I was scared to stay there, wouldn't advise anyone else to go there, especially with young kids or traveling alone.

overpriced

There are better places to stay for $100 a night. This hotel is old and the rooms are small. First feeling when you walk in is ugh I feel cramped already. I wouldnt stay here again although I had no complaints with the staff- they were good. Just much better options out there than this place.

Don't use this even in desparation

The check in was terrible. . . customer serrvice extremly poor. It was an effort for the person at the desk to even get up and wait on me. The room was okay, but the getting to the room was a terrible experience. The halls were hot, smelled of bleach and mildew. Each time upon going to the office the personal in there was rude, short and if they were ever mystery shopped would flunk. Morning was unusual as the maids / room cleaning people woke us up. Overall. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. This was my first and definitely my last time ever visiting a Days Inn. I came to Minnesota for a special event in my sons life only to have this ruin it.

DON'T ASK FOR ANYTHING

I STAYED HERE BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSE TO THE U OF M. WE HAD TO ATTEND A SWIM MEET THE NEXT DAY. THE RESTURANT CONNECTED WAS FILTHY, THE FOOD WAS OLD AND THE SERVICE WAS BAD. THE FRYERS WERE DOWN SO THERE WAS NOT MUCH OF A SELECTION. AT THE TIME WE WERE GETTING READY FOR BED I WENT TO THE FRONT DESK TO GET A ROLLAWAY THE CLERK INFORMED ME THERE WASN'T ANY SO I ASKED FOR XTRA BLANKETS AND PILLOWS. SHE WAS VERY RUDE AND ACT LIKE I WAS INTERUPTING HER TV SHOW. SHE GAVE ME A ONE MATRESS PAD AND TOLD ME TO USE THAT AS A BLANKET. THE HOTEL WAS FAR FROM FULL BUT SHE WOULD NOT GET ME LINENS FROM ANOTHER ROOM. SO IT WAS A VERY LONG AND COLD NIGHT....I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE..

Avoid this place like the plague!

My wife stayed here late July 06. No air conditioning in her room, temperatures hit 86 at night, staff refused to do anything. Told her she had bought a Travelocity package and that was her room. Told her she was a Travelocity customer, not a Days Inn customer. Toilets dirty, spa didn't work and the shuttle they advertise to the University didn't run on Monday or Tuesday. VERY rude front staff. Save yourself major headaches and avoid this place! And don't book on Travelocity either; we complained to them on Monday and haven't had any results since.
