Very disappointed.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/10
1. No trays for breakfast and tables never wiped off between users--very important. 2. Tables never checked by employees. Chairs never pushed back to the table. Trying to get to a table with chairs in disarray was like walking through a maze. 3. Heavy layer of dirt on top bathroom lavatory splash backs. Appears not to have been sanitized totally in months. 4. Inside of toilet had a ring. My husband and I have stayed here three previous times with no complaints. This time there was definitely a lack of attention to detail on the part of the chamber maids as well as the breakfast staff. In addition, there was no phone directory and the info in the notebook was outdated. Also, the directions for using the telephone were not accurate. I am sorry to have to report this but you need to know. When a person says here for a trip to the Mayo Clinic, they have enough other things to worry about instead of the cleaniness of the hotel; that should be a given.

GREAT HOTEL!!!
By Jackie, 5/26/10
Love staying here. Been up to Mayo 7 times and stayed at Holiday Inn Express every time except once (tried to find a closer hotel but they charged an arm and a leg). Like I said I don't know when the other reviews were written, but there hasn't been a pool here a year before we started coming here a year ago. Staff is very accommodating and courteous. Great parking, right off the skyway, just a few blocks away from Mayo. Love it here!! Comfy beds, clean rooms. Very nice.

Average hotel with good breakfast
By Thomas, 5/12/10
The breakfast was pretty good for a hotel food. The pool and rooms were just okay. Have to pay an extra fee ($8.00?) per day for parking. So, what can set a place like this apart from the rest? Service! Sorry, but in this respect they again are just average. I always pay attention to this and not one of the many employees I had contact with made a positive impression on me.

Probably would pick another
By L.T., 1/21/10
The check in person was very helpful. Hallways smelled funny, and in the night it drifted into our room. We were right by the elevators and the constant dinging was very irritating. Breakfast was OK. Room was very dusty and the floor was in need of a good vacuuming. Overall OK but not anything special. The rate was a little high for what we got. Thought is would be helpful to have the skyway right there but the skyway/subway system was very difficult to get thorough and very stressful. Not a good choice to very ill patients going to mayo unless they have done it before.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!
By NancyR, 10/27/07
The rooms, staff, service, and full breakfast was great!! It was very quiet, comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly staff who were accomodated to all my needs. I appreciated the huge breakfast provided which included yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage and more. The business center allowed me to leave my lap top at home. It was nice to have such prompt shuttle service to the Mayo and the option of walking through the skyway was nice too. I will definitely stay again!!

Very Dissatisfied!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/10/07
We made our reservation months in advance only to find out when we arrived that they had overbooked themselves and they had no rooms for us. After a long day and two tired, hungry babies under the age of 2, this was not the news we wanted to hear. We'll never go back to this hotel, nor will we recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our third stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/5/07
I visit Mayo every three months for the last 2 years. We now stay at Holiday instead of Radissen because it is more casual or not quite as upscale. The breakfast buffet is very good and quick. You can walk to the Mayo complex without going outside. Parking is very convienent. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. A good choice. It's worth the money. Sincerely, Dave T. McGregor, MN.

never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/2/07
Room was dirty, my sheets were not changed and had no toilet paper, I had to wait 2 hours before they brought me some. Picketers out front were very noisy. I will never go there again.
