Very nice for a Clarion
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/11/10
Was hesitant to stay at a Clarion, but the hotel I normally stay at was sold out. The lobby is very nice, my room was brand new. The free breakfast was lacking, but I ordered an omlet the second morning and it was good and not over priced.

Avoid at all Costs!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/11/10
The place didn't have hot water! I don't know about you but taking a shower and shaving are some of the main reasons I stay at a hotel! The staff was unfriendly. The kitchen staff acted as if it was a hassle to make scrambled eggs! The room wasn't very clean either. My guest in the room complained of a RASH across his midsection after being there 1 night! If they had comped the room, at least I could say they were ethical. They did take off $10...a total insult! They don't know how to run a hotel or care about their customers!

Brand new hotel
By James, 10/12/10
I stayed at the Clarion a few years back and its a totally different hotel. The lobby is gorgeous, rooms are all new with flat screens, fridges, microwaves....beds are super comfy as well. The restaurant is different as well, not sure exactly what they redesigned but it looked all new as well. The food was decent for a hotel. Overall, great hotel, close to the highway and I have found my place to stay when I overnight in Kalamazoo.

warning "STAY AWAY"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/28/07
The lights are dim, there is a very good reason for this, the place is filthy. I was not given the rate quoted on the phone. The place is under "minor construction" so they say. What they don't tell you is you will have construction crews looking inside your windows at 7:15 in the morning, blasting radios and putting up sheetrock and siding out side your windows, I was on the second floor. When I asked for reimbursment, the manager, a heavy older female was very rude and not at all helpfull. Four other aquintences in our party also moved out. Also I hope you get the chance to meet Michael the desk clerk, he'll smile and yes you to death, but does absolutely nothing to help you..... I suggest you'ld be better off sleeping in your car, or underneith it for that matter. We stayed on Aug 07, so don't let them tell you any thing has changed, remodeling was just starting.

Don't Go there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/11/06
The lobby was dirty, worn furniture. The food in the resturant was horrible with common health standard practices problems. ie. One person doing the waiting and cleaning of tables. She handed me back a glass that she had filled with water for me, and her hand and the glass had food from some of the plates she had just cleaned off the other table on it ! Yuck ! The potatoes looked like dried potatoes that had been sitting for hours in grease. The french toast, waffles and donuts were so hard they could not be cut. I could go on, but that is the idea.....

We will never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/11/05
I disliked the fact that the hotel was filthy. The refrigerator in our room had mold inside and around the seal, the microwave was dirty inside and out, the bed skirt had disgusting white spots on it,the phone had food residue all over it,the sheets were dirty and there was mold in the tub around the seal and on the shower curtin. The real clincher was the fact that the housekeeping cart being used to clean the rooms had no clean sheets on it.Think about it!!!I asked how often they change the blankets I was told once every 2 weeks I called to have house keeping come up and the girl they sent up did a half butted job and we ended up switching rooms, The only thing that kept us there was the fact we were there for a wedding.
