Rent by the hour?

First and foremost, the pictures on the hotel website do NOT reflect this hotel whatsoever. From the minute you walk into the hotel the smell is overwhelming. The lobby seems somewhat presentable, and the front desk was prompt and courteous. The elevator carpet is old, smelly, and trampled with dirt. The mirror when you exit onto the second floor is filthy, caked with what I can only hope is dirt. There were rubber gloves lying on the table, who knows what for/from. The doors to each room look like a 2 year old could kick them down. The hallway carpeting is trampled, old, dirty, and smelly. Upon entering our room we noticed the same smell. The furniture appeared to be clean and new, but upon further inspection we noticed it was knicked and dirty. The wallpaper and wallpaper border were barely staying on the wall, and there were nails and holes all over the wall. The adjoining door between our room and the next was not locked properly upon arrival, and didn't lock hardly at all. The linens seemed clean upon close inspection, however, after less than 10 minutes in the room we decided that this was unacceptable, got a full refund, and ran for the hills. Avoid at all costs, unless dirty, smelly, broken down hotels are your idea of a fun night.
