Courtyard Detroit Downtown, Detroit

great location easy to get to, close to many attractions, cobo, tunnel to windsor, comerica park and ford field. People mover station located in the hotel and a great value at .50 cents/person. Staff at hotel was great. Valet was $20 to park but they were easy to deal with and when yo park it you will not need the vehicle to get around anyway. Breakfast was good. The pool is little outdated and warm, but kids enjoyed it and the hot tub did not function. Fitness center is bigger than expected and equipment appeared to be in good shape and newer. The room was clean and comfortable. I thought we larger room than we ended up with and was told we could not have a roll away in our room (two quuens). We made it work. Overall a good stay at a nice hotel. A bit on the pricey side. Im sure you can find cheaper but what are you going to sacrifice for it. We would stay again if in the area. We came to town for the zoo and Detroit tigers game.

Be very careful about the cabs. Make sure the taxi is legitimate. Takes credit cards, has a radio and has license posted. The hotel is close to a bad area. Consult the bellman before getting into a cab.

Checked in and had someone elses dirty socks under my bed. The drinking glasses in the room were visibly dirty. The valet lost my car keys. I can not find anything good to say about my stay.

We had booked two rooms weeks in advance and when we arrived at the hotel at 10:00 P.M. one of our rooms was still not ready. We finally got our room keys at 11:30 and the staff was very rude to us about the matter. We also where treated very rudely by the security in the hotel while waiting in the lobby for our room. I was very disappoint in the way this Marriott treated us all around and would never stay at this hotel again.

LOVED -location -friendlyness of the staff -the downtown -the bed DISLIKED -the small bathroom Downtown Detroit is a revitilized town that will get a lot better. The town seems to be REBUILDING.

This hotel was a great experience. Beatiful rooms, great dining, great atmosphere, superb location. We were there for a Tiger's game and very pleased that the people mover is attached to the hotel. Greektown was within waking distance.

Very clean, quite and have a great view of the city. Also close to everything! Great price for what you get. Would stay here again!!!!
