Horizon Inn & Suites, Kalamazoo

Wow...... the pictures actually make this place look livable. I wasn't expecting the Ritz, especially at this price, but this was just ridiculous. The power company was actually there to turn off the electric, and someone had to come pay the bill!!! There are a lot nice places down the street for a similar price. Stay there next time!

This place was so filthy that we slept with our shoes on. If we had not arrived exhausted and at midnight we would have switched hotels immediately. The pool was not available because of ecoli problems. The first room we went to had food on the bed and liquid had been spilled on the bedside table. The floor of the second room was wet in places and even though it was non-smoking the smell of smoke saturated everything. Between the mold and the smoke, we woke up having an allergic reaction. To make matters worse, the hotel overcharged us for our stay and one month later I am still battling with them to get the charges off my card. We finished our trip at Lee's Inn - a much, much, much better deal.
