Terrible service: they won't heat your room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/11
We checked in late October, when the highest temperature for the day was 60 deg. The first night we realized the heating did not turn on. We called the front desk and after about 40 min we got them to turn the heat on. The next day, they turned the heat off again! And this time the lady at the front desk said their 'sophisticated' system is in summer mode and did not think any heating was required. Our toddler was left wearing a hooded jacket and boots indoors.
The worst of it is they treated me as an imbecile for wanting to maintain 72 deg indoors, instead of being happy with 65. Agreed, we were from CA but I wasn't trying to heat to 80!
Very unprofessional and we will forever remember being cold and miserable in Amherst.
