RENOVATED and Ready
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/09
The hotel rooms are completely renovated. Not only are the new rooms beautiful but they are also comfortable. The staff is very welcoming and helped me find a place to eat while there over spring break. The new heating system was quite confusing but not a major problem. I like that parking is included with the room stay. I just wish there were more signs posted letting you know you are almost at or have arrived at the hotel. However, very great hotel and very good prices!

Cool time-warp experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/28/08
Yeah, it's old and a bit worn but it reminded me of many hotels in Germany I'd stayed in. I checked in during a fierce snowstorm on a Sunday evening in December. The clerk called a bunch of food delivery places for me and moved my room up a bit. I slept very well and thoroughly relaxed. I was a UMASS student three decades ago, could never afford to stay there of course then. I had returned to the campus to sign up for an on-line program. I can't imagine staying anywhere else-- being in the heart of the campus is great. There is a superb gym about a block north as well that all guests can use. What a deal!

Nice place to stay on Campus
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/08
It was a pleasant stay. First time visitors bringing our son to look at the school. The desk staff was very helpful with suggestions concerning the school and the area. The hotel is a teaching hotel, so the staff is majority students. The breakfast was very good. The muffins are very flavorful. It was handy staying on campus since the tours left from the building and that the university store was located in the building. The food options in the building are simple and fast food type. Great in you are in a rush but better options in town.

Very Convenient
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/08
It was very convenient having a hotel on campus. It was our first visit to UMass and staying on campus made it very helpful. Good view over looking the beautiful campus. The free internet and the breakfast was a big plus.

Warning!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/07
I was directed to this hotel via a website for a conference I was attending on campus. I assumed it would offer adequate accomodations. BAD ASSUMPTION! The elevator, lobby, and desk employees were as expected. Things went downhill from there. After being moved to 3 rooms, I came to the conclusion that every room was equally horrible. The rugs were filthy, windows moldy, matresses either sinking or rocks, chairs and lamps scratched and the bathroom was circa 1960's dorm-like. Get the picture? Giving the accomodations ANY star at all is a gift. The only upside was that the staff didn't object to issuing a refund when I explained that I wouldn't be staying. There are accomodations right down the road that are quite nice. I'd recommend the Courtyard. It's a wonderful value!

Not Worth It
By Victoria, 02/09/06
1. The bed was falling apart. They had to send someone up to fix it. When they flipped it over, the matress had holes in it. 2. The parking was something like $12 a day, which is completely unnecessary and not even that close to the hotel. 3. If you forgot toiletries they were available for a price in the lobby. 4. Truly a horrible hotel.

Campus Center at Umass
By Eric R, 06/04/04
Soviet Bloc style architecture, pricey rooms with few amenities and archaic features. Very well located on campus, but many other hotels are close by and offer better value and amenities
