Outstanding
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/22/09
Beautiful place, outstanding staff, an oasis in the stressful, rushed, Northeast. I felt as though I had left the US and was in a different country - a shangri-la. One of the best experiences I have ever had in New England.

Been there several times
By Steve, 02/08/09
We have stayed here several times and will only stay here while visiting our son at Williams College. Have stayed at other establishments and this place puts them to shame. The cleaniness, the courteous staff, the comfortable beds and large bathrooms are just a few of the great amenities that we look forward to each time. Wait staff in the lounge and restaurant make you feel like home...A definite try.

We'll go again. the best!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/31/07
My husband and I recently spent the Christmas weekend at the Orchards, what a delightful experience, from checkin to checkout was simply wonderful, professional but very friendly and absolute attention to detail from the sleeping areas to the dinner areas, very clean linens, beautiful and generous amounts of everything, can't say enough about the place, both modern and antique decor, gym you name it, we were particularly impressed to see "Managers" who actually cared enough to ask how is everything on more than one occasion, impressive, the staff was out of this world nice, don't want to call names because you forget someone's name and that's not good, so we just want to say kudos to all, and we'll definitely be back, and we've already told some of our friends what a great time we had, and we plan to bring 2 friends of ours for a weekend soon, sorry we couldn't make it back for the New Year, but I'm fighting a cold, so Happy New year and I'm sure everyone who's there will have a great time, while we were there they were planning for a fantastic evening. Then one thing we didn't like was the rain had washed away a lot of the snow the same day we came, so we didn't get to see the snow capped mountains, but one of the staff told us about Jiminy Peak ands we went there and had a blast, including hot cider to stay warm. Great all round vacation, see you at the Orchards, the cool place to be. P and E Jones

Don't change the atmosphere
By Patricia, 04/06/07
My daughter had her wedding at The Orchards in 2002....It was an elegant wedding....We paid for a suite for her and her husband for they would be traveling to Lake Tahoe...the rooms were beautiful. I have eaten there on several occasions.....the dining was succulent....the atmosphere was wonderful...I am so disappointed that the new owners found it stuffy.....It was elegant, graceful, very comforting and the cocktail lounge was like being at home. A dart board!!!....more relaxed atmosphere? Hambergers....really...they sell that at McDonalds. More relaxed down home atmosphere...try Motel 6....Williamstown is a lovely New England community. The Orchards added that bit of class that is so deserving of a wonderful small community. Keep the city and fancy lights for LasVegas and the glitter of city life...not Williamstown. Maybe you need a better marketing team to draw more clientele to the Hotel without making it appear city light plastic. Sorry....I am a big fan of The Orchards.....Don't draw a bar crowd....you don't need it....simple elegance...friendly staff, great comfortable rooms such as they have and a good chef. Accolades for the former Orchards..... Patricia
