By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/25/08
I liked this hotel because it was cheap and the service is good. its in walking distance of a majority of places in boston like boston common park and shopping malls. the rooms are a good size and have cable tv, internet access, phones, and a bathroom. i will defenatly be staying there again next time i am in boston.

Very Good 2d Time Around
By John, 08/27/07
I stayed here 3 years ago and then read some negative reviews here. Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Everything was all good. The room was nice, shower and bathroom worked fine, staff was courteous, a lot to do around hotel. The place is "bare bones" as I recalled but not to the point of being uncomfortable. Unless you're used to staying in 5 star hotels that someone else pays for I'm not sure what you have to complain about.

Great Location!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/24/06
The hotel was newly remodeled; Beds were comfortable. The apartments next to the hotel were VERY NOISY! Music till all hours even during the week! Get a Huntington street-side room- road noise would've be quieter than those Brownstones. Night staff was rude and toast-like dry but days and evening staff were wonderful, helpful, and friendly. Bathroom was not too clean, but they fixed that when we told the staff. All new matresses, carpet, drapes and bedding (except for the sheets- they look as if they've been in service since the dark ages.)But overall, adequate room. Equiv. to a super 8 or there abouts. Awesome location! Thorntan's cafe serves a great breakfast daily and is 1/2 a block away; or goto the Prudential center. I'd stay there again.

A nice place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/06
The Midtown was nice for me because it was close to Northeastern University where my child attends. It is also within walking distance to most places like the Pru Center). Also if you drive they offer free parking. The staff are very accomodating.

Overpriced
By Coop, 04/11/06
Eventhough they say you can get this for around 99.00 that is not true. This hotel needs new wiring and decor. If you can get this hotel for a low price then you can stay there but if they charge you more than the said 99.00 find somnewhere wlse to stay. It's not worth paying more than that. there is only two ice machines in the entire palce. It's reeally a Motel and not a Hotel.

First Class!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/05
No complaints at all - this is not a luxury hotel but our room was huge and spotless. The location is fantastic - walking distance to Boston Common, with Copley Square and the Prudential Center just a two-minute walk down the street. There is no restaurant, just an adjoining cafe, but there is an endless choice of places for breakfast and dinner within a couple of minutes walk. The Beantown Trolley Tours stop right outside, and there are a couple of T stops close by. The staff were pleasant and courteous. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Boston - paying any more is pointless. A great choice!

Such a cheap, but wonderful hotel
By Erin, 10/01/05
The Midtown Hotel is SO great in that the Location is perfect and the prices are even better. The rooms are nice a spacey, in the summertime there is a nice sized pool, and its in the best part of town.

Great place great price
By Deb, 08/20/05
We loved our 3 days at the Midtown. It's 1/2 a block to the Prudential Center where you can catch the T and go anywhere in the city. There is a fantastic deli just 1/2 block away (the other way) that has fantastic food and great prices that is open something like 7am to 11pm. The pool is deep, something u hardly ever find anymore. There is one elevator which we didn't realize and lugged our bags up one flight of stairs. It's on the end to the left of the lobby. The beantown trolley picks up and lets off right in front of the hotel. Also any out of town excursions with Grey Line tours picks up at the hotel. The parking is FREE. Since we planned to leave Boston after 3 days and head north to Maine this was important to us. But you don't need a car for Boston at all.
