Never to Return

Before my children and I went away for the night I tried to find something that was affordable and kid friendly. I saw the hotel listed on the computer and everything appeared to be in order. When I called to reserve a room I had asked if there was a poolside room available so the kids could go swimming. We arrived and were checked in without any problems. I was suprised to see how small the room was with 5 people. Once we added the roll away bed forget it there was no room. The kids were exicited to go swimming. When my son went in he told me it was freezing. I thought he was kidding because it is a heated pool. We were lucky if the water was 60 degress. We could not even swim. no one bothered to tell me when I asked about the pool that is was not heated. We went to dinner as soon as the resturant opened. It was written on the menu and advertised that kids eat free. So to my suprise when I got the bill I was charged for the meals. At this point I should of discussed the issue further, but I just wanted to pay the bill and get upstairs. A few other problems to mention were there no towels at the pool, but plenty of bins to put the dirty towels in. There were only 2 towels for 5 people. Now I did not expect shampoo, but at least a small bar of soap would of been nice. By the time I checked out it cost close to $300.00. This is for 1 night stay to include breakfast. Beware of added taxes that increase your bill. All I learned was the next time I wan't to go away is to stay home.
