Garrison Inn, Newburyport

My colleagues and I visit the Garrison about 3-4 times a year. They always accomodate our needs for spacious guest rooms where we can hold small meetings thorughout the day. Their location is perfect as they are near lots of local restaurants where we can get outside and enjoy the beautiful seaside town.

The rooms were beautiful and fully equipped with every detail. We were very surprised by the babysitting service downstairs by their underground pub. It made our trip so enjoyable for all members of the family. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We again were surprised by the wonderful made to order breakfast in the lovely breakfast room, which included several versions of eggs benedict. We will come back often.

The front desk was rude, we told them to put everything on our credit card, they asked our guest for his card and put everything on his!!!!!!!! It took many nasty phone calls to finally get this straightened out . This never should have happened. We found out that one of the owners daughters is the manager and she really doesn't seem to care what happens, or help to fix their errors, there are many other inns in Newburyport to ever have to go back to the Garrison Inn!!!!

Good times, Good times. I had a great time staying in the bed with my husband. I have never felt so relaxed. But I do not think the money was fair, I think it's worth one hundred dollars a night.

This hotel is perfect. Right in the middle of downtown. Clean & quiet. They also have free capuccinos and lattes in the morning. I plan on returning next summer.

Comfortable and clean. Quiet. Convenient. Good parking. Nice bedding. Stayed once and return each time I visit Newburyport. My only suggestion for them is an upgrade in the quality of their breakfast foods and service.
