Dont stay there
By Mark, 8/18/10
For 80 bucks a night, room had bed bugs in there, on the 4th floor. The 5th floor is housing for the secret undisirables, and smoking, the 1st floor is where they put the local folks in, blacks mostly. Housekeeping personel was very good, so no complaints there. The breakfast was also very good. Its a non-pet friendly hotel, but a white dog runs around all day long at the front desk area. I believe it's the manager's dog. Front desk was Ok, what more do you expect from a hotel in a seedy area like Catonsville? I'll pay the extra 100 bucks next time in the Baltimore area and stay at the downtown one.

Great place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/29/08
I was hesitant to book here since it was so reasonably priced, but what a great find!! We were able to spend so much more money on other activities for the kids since this was so inexpensive. I have NOTHING negative to say about this hotel. The room was clean and neat, the staff was VERY courteous, breakfast was good and parking was free. The ten - fifteen minute ride to Inner Harbor was very easy. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance to this hotel,as well. We would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/16/07
They have recently renovated the whole hotel. The bathrooms looked perfect. Lobby and hallways are clean and well decorated. Front desk and housekeeping are hardworking and friendly. Everybody puts extra effort to keep this hotel nice and clean. Owners must have spent tons of dollors to keep this place nice and going. My stay at this location was very plasant. The price is affordable, convient location and excellent quality rooms.

Needs a good cleaning
By Shawn S, 7/7/07
For $70, the value is average for a 2-star hotel. In a bit of a seedy area, but close to malls and highway 40 and only 25 minutes from downtown. Limited parking spaces in front of hotel, and felt uneasy using their unlit gangland hangout behind the hotel. Requested a non-smoking room, yet room reeked of smoke. Bathroom was moldy and contained ants. Friendly staff, but the bottom line is the rooms are dated and substandard for even the HJ chain.

It was not as bad as everyone is making it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/26/07
I was not disappointed at all it was a great value. The reviews I had read were scaring me away but since we only needed to be there for the weekend it was very inexpensive and worth the value. Yes there was a strange odor they had tried to mask with sprays. Although the room was very clean and the bathroom was redone and very clean the towels were fine there could have been more. Although the water temp and pressure were not that great in the shower. Basically we were there to sleep and get ready to go to events we needed to be at for the weekend. Unless you are planing to sit in your room it is not a 4 star hotel. It served its purpose and regardless of the other reviews ther were no bed bugs so I am not sure why someone would say that just to be bitter because they should have stayed in a 220 a night hotel room then, and wasted their money.

This place stinks
By Wayne, 6/25/06
The Lobby looked good when we checked in, but as soon as the doors to the elevator opened, you noticed the awful smell in the hallway. And when we got into the room, even that smelled. It was just an overniter, so we stayed. We got some air freshener and a candle to help. We went to the free breakfast, the toaster and microwave had no electricity, so they didn't work. At 8 am, they ran out of food. We got the hay outa there in a hurry.
