Hit or Miss - Beware of what Unit you're renting.

We have stayed at the Seagull 3 times in the past 4 years. Each unit is basically the same but the owners of the units furnish them differntly. We found this out last week with Unit 13. Not well furnished. Bedrood had no night stands just a dresser with a lamp that had no bulb in it. Each unit has a small living room area that has a large slider out to a screened in deck. The slider had no shades or anything to cover it during the night. Hi everyone, yup we're here in the living room!. No privacy at all. Funny thing is the sofa was a sleep sofa, not sure how you can sleep when the morning light comes right in. There were only two very small round plastic tables near the ends of the sofa and one was used as a phone stand. No coffee table or anything to rest a drink down. No lamps in the living room at all and the kitchen lights were not on dimmers. So we had to take the bulbless (we got a bulb) lamp from the bedroom each night and put it in the kitchen counter to act as low light for the living room. The unit had two small TV's with no remotes. Got lucky and found a remote that could be programmed to work with one of the TV's and the remote was in a basket in the kitchen. The kitchen had what it needed to do cooking which was a bonus. It had an grill outside but the ignitor didn't work, which is common on grills. So all in all the Seagull is a decent place but be careful as when you book they will tell you all units are the same. Yes they have the same basic structure and blueprint, but what is in there is hit or miss for furninshings. I would stay away from unit 13. For what they get ($$) for a week I would think the management of the area would do a better job to make sure the owners that are renting are providing some sort of level for furnishings and privacy in the unit. If you get a unit you like then I would keep booking that as early as possible. We found this out the hard way.
