Samoset Resort on the Ocean, Rockport

Great views from large balcony. Quiet and very clean rooms. Very nice indoor pool and hot tub. Extensive health club w/ 20-30 machines and free weights. More than a few large conference rooms. Excellent resturants on site. Location was easy to get to right off Rt. 1 . Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing weekend. Also a great location for a business meeting or confrence or an award ceremony. Had a small game room w/ a few video machines. Staff was friendly and helpful. 18 hole golf course w/ some holes at waters edge. The Breakwater Lighthouse extends from the edge of the property. We had a great time in Maine and the Samoset Resort was an outstanding choice because of its staff, clean & comfortable room and its beautiful and convenient location. Highly recommend it!

The rooms were great and QUIET even with people in the room above us. We had a problem with the temp in our room and it wasn't able to be fixed so we were moved and upgraded with no additional expense or fuss. We found the staff to be very helpful and very friendly. As for the dining, this is Maine. Things are a little slower in Maine. Which is exactly what we enjoyed about the experience. If you want fast food go to McDonalds.
