St Peter House, New Orleans

Just got back from a 3 day stay here. Our "deluxe" room had three pieces of furniture - a queen size bed (w/o headboard and short-sheeted), a medium-size five-drawer dresser, and a small, spindly nightstand (one - not two). The remote didn't work with the television. The room looked nothing like any of the rooms displayed on the website or in their brochures. There was about a foot and a half to walk around the bed. We did drag in a metal chair from the patio in order to have someplace to sit. We saw no bugs, that much was good. Oh - another negative - we were woken up at 8:30 one of the mornings by the sound of a metal grinder in the room directly above us. At least they turned it off when I crawled out of bed to complain.

Our room was somewhere around 8' by 10' with a double bed and one very small armoire. The balcony was leaning and felt like it could tumble to the ground at any minute. The stairs also felt like they may fall apart. Reception was fairly nice but the manager was very disagreable.

loved the location in the french quarters and service was nice. Would have liked a bigger room, but looked at other rooms and they were lovely. Great Price, Great Location

We rented a 2BR suite for 4 of us Jazz Fest weekend. The space was large w/ 3 good-sized beds, but other than that the place looked like it was decorated with furniture from someone's garage. There was a small, broken couch and 2 armchairs, a small coffee table, a desk with broken drawer and that's it. And the floors were so filthy we couldn't walk barefoot without turning our feet black. When this was pointed out to mgmt, the cleaning crew came in and bleached the place so much we could feel our eyes burning. And the floors were still filthy under the bleach! Afraid to complain again, we just stuck it out, but if it hadn't been jazz fest, we would've looked hard for a different place to stay.

we felt the staff did their best to help and make you happy with the exception of their choice to ignore smoking rules. the value was exceptional. if you are expecting a totally smoke free environment this place is not for you. although the room signs clearly state "NO SMOKING ON BALCONIES OR IN COURTYARDS" this is ignored by the management. due to the smoking situation we would not stay here again.
