Good thing we got a good rate

I don't think I have ever received such
poor customer relations at a hotel EVER!
Any contact we had with the front desk or
concierge was non-friendly and quite rude.
We were there for spring break 2005.
The pool was closed (under construction).
It would have been nice for the check in
clerk to inform us of this, since we went to the pool bathing suits and towels in hand, only to find a cement hole. After questioning several staff members, it turned out the pool at the hotel across the street was available to Sheraton guests. Would have been nice to know. The lobby bar went under construction the 3rd day we were there. They moved the bar to a dreary conference room and still had the nerve to charge outragous prices for drinks! And again
horrible service from the bar staff.
Our room was small but clean and we had
a nice view. When asked to upgrade to a
larger room, the desk clerk had to "ask the manager" then called back with an absurd
upgrade charge, more than double what we
were paying for the room we had.
The best thing about this hotel is the
location.
