Great Place to celebrate New Years 2005!!!!

We stayed for New Years (2005). The location was awesome. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and you had a great view of one of the best cities in the US!!! The bar downstairs was great as well; we loved the chex mix they gave ya! Me, my boyfriend, best friend and brother all stayed there and would definently recommend to anyone visiting the big easy. You are minutes away from Bourbon Street as well as the French Quarter. We will be staying there again!

Nice location

On a recent trip with friends to the New Orleans, we stayed at the Sheraton. It is conveniently located on Canal Street, and allowed us the luxury of being able to walk to mostly everything in town we wanted to see. We stayed in one of the club level rooms, so we enjoyed a delicious complimentary continental breakfast each morning before heading for the day. We also enjoyed the gym facilities, which were free to us, however, the hotel charged $10 per day for guests not staying in one of the club level rooms, which seems a bit unreasonable. The hotel also had an enjoyable lobby bar and restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. The only thing in our opinion that did note rate top notch was housekeeping who left diry dishes in our room the entire stay. Other than that, we loved it!

LOVED this hotel

Where do I start? The beds are absolutely fanstastic...I've never slept better. I have tried the heavenly bed at the Westin hotels and it does not compare to the beds at the Sheraton in New Orleans. It is in easy walking distance to the Bourbon Street night life and most other French Quarter attractions. I left a brand new cashmere sweater hanging in the closet when I left, and the staff went out of their way to locate it and return it to me. I have nothing but nice things to stay about the Sheraton in New Orleans.

Overall nice hotel...

As you might expect from Sheraton, they provide nice accomodation at a good price, especially if you go off-season. Rooms are moderately spacious, views are nice (hotel pool and Missisippi river) and the hotel is close to all action in French quarter. Only deficiency is lack of Internet connection in all rooms.

Nice hotel in CBD

This is a very nice Sheraton located in the CBD. It's obviously convenient for the business traveler, but the leisure traveler may find it more appealing than the french quarter for a few reasons: 1) Rooms are larger 2) less noise yet still convenient to the FQ 3) rates are generally lower. The hotel has the typical amenities you should expect from a Starwood and is definitely a solid choice for your trip!

Excellent hotel with beautiful views from many of the windows.
Great French Qtr. location. Staff very very friendly all of the time. Services were outstanding. Only ate breakfast there but that was also well prepared and served in reasonable time. I highly recommend it as a conference place or just a place to stay.
Only drawback I saw was no inside pool but there is a wonderful outdoor pool and spa tub.
