Will never stay there again!!!!!
Just trying to get into the driveway was almost impossible. Once at the door, the valets acted like they were doing me a favor. The desk personnel were capable, but, short handed (3) having one conference checking in and one checking out. The room was clean and comfortable (46th floor) but, the automated elevator system is deplorable. Took up to 28 minutes on 2 occasions to get an elevator. It also took at least 30 minutes in the morning to get hot water. The service in the restaurant was horrible. I had to chase down three differenct people just to get a bottle of Tabasco. (the hostess finally got it for me. NOT the waiter) The best feature of this of this hotel was the house keeping staff. They were attentive, friendly and efficient. I wish I could say as much about the rest of the hotel staff. The only saving grace for this hotel, overall, is it was large enojugh for our conference and close to all the attractions along the river and the French Quarter. They did assist me in the fact that I am in the process of planning a major conference and will not be selecting a Starwood property if this is indicative of their hotels, staff and service. And, sadly, I'm a "Starwood Preferred Guest" member. Well, was.
