Up Close...but not TOO close
By ,
The La Pavilion is uniquely located within comfortable walking distance to everything - the Quarter, the casino, river-front shopping, both the St. Charles and Riverfront Trolleys. The service is impeccable, even if the hotel is a little pricey. Still, price isn't everything...sometimes having answers at your beck-and-call and a staff who really seem to care about clients are more important.

Luxury at it's best!!
By ,
We just got back from a wonderful stay at Le Pavillion, New Orleans and it was just amazing. The staff was so friendly and assisted us at any moment. We were just 3 short blocks from Bourbon street. The location was perfect, you could go down the street and enjoy the excitement but come back to relax in quiet. We loved to come back to enjoy the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches along with some hot chocolate! You feel like a king and queen while you are there. We would definetly reccomend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in New Orleans!

Awesome!
By ,
They upgraded our room for free to a suite because they were overbooked. They let us stay in the suite for the whole trip instead of moving us back to a regular room. It was a absolutely gorgeous hotel. Shortly after are trip we saw it featured on the travel channel, including a room like the one we stayed in. The rooftop pool was beautiful too. We regret not trying the dining in the hotel because we heard later that it is very good.

First visit leaves lasting impression
By ,
This was our first visit to New Orleans and we had no idea of what to expect... When we arrived and got a cab from the airport the cabbie said"best place in town" when we told him where to take us, and he wasn't very wrong! The hotel was fantastic.. centrally located to all the sites we wanted to see, the room was more than we expected with its extremely large windows and great decor. The hotel staff couldn't have been any better than they were... it was like we had come to visit old friends and they wanted to show us a good time. Our doorman was great... told us about great places to eat.. safe places to jog in the mornings and the best of the music places to enjoy the blues! We recommend it to any one we know that is going to the "Big Easy' from the "Big Apple"

\"the belle of New Orleans\"
By ,
My dauther, son-in-law, granddaughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Le Pavillon Hotel. We were there for my former step-daughter's wedding. The staff was friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The lobby, elevator, hall ways and rooms were elegently decorated. Everything was clean and in working order. We especially enjoyed the nightly turn down service. We would return to our rooms to find that we had been rewarded with a Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookies and a bottle of water for each of us. The highlight of the evening was taking part in the hotel's tradition of Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches and cool milk from 10 - 11 P.M. The hotle was centrally located to all of the events for the wedding and for sight seeing. We were only a couple of blocks from the St. Charles Trolley and near to Harrahs, the River Walk and the French Quarter. Most of the wedding party stayed at the hotel, which was the sight of the wedding reception. The staff did an excellent job with food and drink. The Le Pavillon is truely "the belle of New Orleans." We can't wait to get back!

Highly Recommend

This was a great old hotel. Just minutes from everything including the French Quarter and shopping. The PB & J sandwiches & hot chocolate late at night were such a wonderful treat. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel at home. The suites have an antique old world feel and are very comfortable. Can't wait to go back and visit!

What a waste!!
By ,
Well i only stayed a short time here. I had reserved a 4 night stay and only got to stay 2 nights. I asked why was i only going to get to stay 2 nights when i had called earlier in the month to reserve for a 4 night stay. Well the manager of this *OVERLY PRICED* hotel explained in a not so nice manner that sometimes we just don't get what we want and that someone else had booked my room for the other 2 nights. So immediatly i panicked and asked if he had another room i could stay in for the other 2 nights. His words were "Sorry but we are booked for the rest of the month. well after all that was finally over, i decided to go to my room only to find that the bed still had dirty used sheets on it and the place had not been cleaned up. so i called the front desk to report this situation and i am guessing that since i had gotten a little frustrated with them that this is the reason that it took a whole 3 hours to get someone up there to clean it up. I don't know if this was a bad day for the hotel staff or if they are normally like this but everyone had very upsetting attitudes about customer service, taking care( hah what a joke) of their establishment and the food, ah the food, that was the best part of it all. the first night i was there i had gone to their restuarant, which was somewhat small and did not feel very clean at all, and I ordered a hamburger. I felt if i ordered something simple it wouldn't take long to cook and it didn't have to be prepared in a special way, like a steak. WOW, was i out of my mind, the burger took an hour and a half and the grossest part ever was the cow was still mooing, meaning that the burger was very rare and bleeding on the inside. By the time i had noticed that. it was too late the kitchen was closed for the night. So here i am upset, kinda sick to my stomach and still hungry. the only thing i could do was go out and find a denny's... Well the next day arrived and at 6 a.m the housekeeper was pounding on my door to turn down my bed, I told her that i was still sleeping in it and if she wouldn't mind coming back in an hour. Of course we get the attitude again. By this time I had had abouit as much attitude as i could take, so i decided to cut my trip way short and check out. Ha Ha i was really fooling my self thinking, I could go to the front desk handover my key get my money back for the next day that i reserved and be on my way back home, not so easily done. The lady at the front desk said that the hotel did not owe me any money because i had payed for only one night. I was very astonished at this, if it had not been for my bank card receipt I would have been ripped of almost $100. Needless to say after dealing with that for about 2 hrs. I was very eager to get back to my clean, comfortable no one giving me attitude home. So, needless to say i won't be returning to this hotel ever again.

Glorious Elegance and Wonderful Service
By ,
The La Pavillon was an excellant hotel for our week stay in New Orleans. Not to close to the rowdy crowd of the French Quarter, yet close enough to walk there every day. The hotel is beautiful, one of the oldest in the city. Our room was very comfortable and very nicely decorated. The entire hotel had an old world elegance, even in the elevator. There was a great rooftop pool and a small gym. The staff were very gracious and helpful. We were there at Mardi Gras and the hotel had a guard at the elevator, to ensure that only guests went upstairs. Room service was prompt, and the care they took in decorating out tray was great. We even had a mini vase and fresh flower. The door man and bell hop were courteous and took great care of us and our belongings. The evening social time for guests was a great idea and fun too! We had peanut butter and jelly sandwichs, Yummy! (both ready made and supplies to make our own). The homemade hot cocoa was so very good, I think about it often. There were marshmallows and whipped cream to top it off with. The orange juice had bananas cut up in it and that was a unique and very tasty touch. We met other guests and had a great time. When we go back to New Orleans, we will certainly stay at the La Pavillon.

Stayed there for one night and can't wait to go back.

I'm from New Orleans and I don't like going downtown too much because of all the tourists. As far as the hotel, it was a great experience. It was my first time staying in a New Orleans hotel.
