Waste of Money!

One of the first things I noticed when we got into our room is that we were paying way too much money for this place. We paid $85 for a room which had a dirty carpet, no smoke alarm, dirty bathroom, and many other things. I could not walk bare foot on the carpet because it felt so dirty. It also would not have surprised me if the sheets had not been washed because it had that dirty feel as well. Where the smoke alarm should have been, there were just hanging wires. The bathroom sink handles were full of some kind of crud. The toilet got stopped up. The light right outside of the bathroom had dirt in it, which you could see because it was a flat light that was not all the way in place. Our room was also missing a chain lock; it was set up for one but there was no chain. The bolt lock would not even close all the way into the door which made me feel uncomfortable. If we ever have to stay overnight in Lake Charles again, I will not even consider this hotel. My husband and I were just ready to get out of there in the morning. Trust me, it is not worth the $85.
