Pleasant stay
By Grandma, 12/7/11
My only complaint is that the rates were doubled due to the annual Christmas Festival, which is customary throughout the town. We found the hotel to be as nice as any that we have stayed at in the same price range. The room had been remodeled and was clean and well maintained. After reading some of the reviews I was almost in a panic about my reservations. I honestly don't know what these people expect in a small mid-priced hotel.

America's Worst Value Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/14/11
I read the reviews before booking my stay and hoped that that the reviews were wrong especially since the hotel's website boasts that the place has been remodeled. Boy, was I wrong!!!! The only thing remodeled on this hotel is the lobby. The rooms are musty and dirty. It doesn't appear that the rooms have undergone extensive cleaning since the hotel was built. The furniture is old and dated, the rooms need dusting (baseboards in bathroom are caked with dust) and there are hard water stains in the tub and face bowl; I was scared to step into the shower without my flip flops on. The refrigerator is a mini-fridge; the most you can get in there is bottled water. On top of that, the one in room 115 didn't work and the shower in 115 backs up on your feet. We were moved to RM 119 which was no better...there seems to be low water pressure at the hotel. The toilets flush sluggishly and/or backs up after the flush. The water in the shower runs luke warm at best. The hotel's website also states that there is a fitness center on site. How about ALL of the equipment in there is broken or in the case of the treadmill, the office doesn't have the key that starts it. The owner told my husband that someone checked it out and never returned it! The only good thing about this debacle is we ended up visiting Natchitoches Health and Racquet club which was awesome. They charge a daily rate if you are in town for a few days...check it out! I do not recommend that you stay at this hotel unless it is your very last resort!

**Warning**
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/2/11
I stayed at this hotel this past weekend and it was absolutely disgusting. All pictures (which were probably taken when the hotel was brand new) do not depict the current conditions. It is run down and deplorable. However, if you enjoy staying up all night, there will be plenty of entertainment outside to keep you up all hours of the night. The toilet was running constantly (which I requested service) and the faucet dripped. The towels were very thin and the bathroom was so small you could barely maneuver around. The refrigerator was small and barely stayed “cool” on the max temperature setting. Needless to say, I kept socks on as I didn’t want my bare feet to touch the dirty and un-vacuumed carpet. After being gone all day and personally requesting that maid service clean the room, I returned late at night to find that the room had been unserviced, i.e., unmade beds, no clean towels, and trash still in the small garbage can which had no lining. I had to call the front desk to request clean towels be brought to my room at 11:00 p.m. Upon check-out, I made a point to list all of my complains to the hotel personnel, which person avoided making any eye contact and just apologized. I was also charged $3.00 more from the quoted rate when I made my reservations. I would rate this hotel a negative 10 if I could.

I Will Never Stay There Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/9/07
This Motel should be shut down. Thank God I had a full can of Lysol with me. I asked for a non smoking room. Previous guest had smoked in it.(You'd think housekeeping would spray to eliminate the smoky odor) The bath tub had mold in it, the room reaked of smoke. The interior side of the door had stains on it, all of the furniture was old and had scratches and the walls were dirty. I expected to see roaches crawling out at any minute, thank God this did not happen. The light over the vanity did not work. Thank God we were there for only one night.

I'll be back
By Alan, 1/15/07
Wow, after reading some of the other reviews I would be a little scared to stay at this hotel, but my experience was nothing but pleasant. I stayed recently and attended a wedding reception in the hotel banquet room. The food was amazing and the staff was more than helpful. The lounge was also a lot of fun. The room was very nice and clean, we were on the first floor facing the pool and peaceful courtyard. I will definitly stay at this hotel on future visits to Natchitoches.

We will NEVER be back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/06
We had booked this motel via the internet for a non-smoking, king room, and after driving for over 3 hours to get there that night, found that the room they were going to put us in was a smoking, double bed room. The motel claimed that the "booking agency" changed our reservation and they had no more non-smoking, king rooms available because there were two weddings in town that weekend and they were booked. Fortunately for us, we did find a wonderful B & B on the Cane River (with a king bed), and our trip had a happy ending after all. But, my point is, we will NEVER again (try to) stay at Ramada Inn in Nachitoches, LA (and probably not anywhere else) if that is the way they treat their patrons.

Good Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/06
This was a standard chain motel. The bed was comfortable and I really enjoyed the food in the restaurant. I will probably stay there again on future trips to the area.

Nice Room, Nice Folks, Nice Price
By Chuck, 8/7/06
I believe the other reviews for this property were probably generated by jealous property managers or guests that were unable to actually get rooms due to availability at the property. The reason I say that is one "traveler's review" said the property wouldn't return a 170+ dollar deposit? The property only charges 65.00 per night according to the Ramada website so I can't understand this. This is the only property I stay in when traveling to Natchitoches, and have stayed there for years. All employees are very nice, the facility is clean, and the food in the cafe is wonderful. I like staying at one place and being able to eat and enjoy a drink and this is the only property in Natchitoches where that is possible. I have nothing to gain, so stay wherever you wish, but for the value conscience traveler like myself, the Ramada is a clean comfortable property which offers a product I am very happy with. I would recommend getting reservations, because due to the popularity of the property, it is difficult at times to walk-in and find availability

A DUMP
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/5/06
The manager and the receptionist at the hotel were liars. Even after a sleepless night in a room that crawled with roaches; I asked if I could rent a room for the week. I had business in town and needed an inexspensive place to stay. The receptionist behind the desk told me that they were full and had no rooms until the next week. There were four cars in the parking lot. One was mine, two belonged to the manager and the receptionist, the other to someone else staying at the hotel. They obviously are worried about making money..and they definitely should be....THE HOTEL WAS A DUMP

What A Dump !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/05
This place should be shut down. The room had roaches, was dirty and holes in the bathroom wall to the outside. We stayed for about 30 minutes before changing hotels. They would not return a $175 deposit.
