Guest Lodge Hotel, Slidell

The Bates Motel has better accomodations than this place. The location is ideal, the room had water stains on the ceiling, a bathtub that didnt look scrubbed down, mildew on the tiles, towels that were unmatched and discolored, not to mention hard as sandpaper(doesnt anyone use softner), also the best part was the bed, for kids it is ideal, it sat below knee level about 6 inches off the floor, (4) lamps in the room, only (1) had a light bulb. We stayed (2) nights, now you expect room service to come change the sheets and bring clean towels, well NOPE not here, you have to request it, WOW I know I will stay here again. Now the grounds look like they had not been kept up in years, I have seen ovegrown cemetaries that look better than this hotel. So all in all unless you are looking for a cheap motel to have an affair in, then this is your place, but if you have high expectations dont, you will be sadly disappointed. Any place that has a double-insulated plastic window to talk to the front desk clerk at beware, oh and the alcoholics that stand up there drinking beer adds nice charm and appeal.
