Wonderful
By ,
We loved the location, the staff was great, our room was clean and very big, bathroom was clean and really big. The hotel was decorated for Christmas with beautiful decorations and the lobby was pure class. The only item that needs to be addressed is the carpet is a little worn in places in the hall. This was our first trip to New Orleans but we plan to go back and will stay here again.

Hurry up and wait!
By ,
I come to New Orleans a minimum of 12 times a year and have been staying at the Bourbon Orleans since I was a young child. After not staying at this particular hotel in several years, I decided to try it out. Big mistake. Service was horrible. Lights were burnt, light switches didnt work, the ONLY outlet in the bathroom didn't work, the blow dryer didn't work (a substitute was brought up after waiting over 30 minutes), and after three hours of calling them to send someone to come up and clean our room i lost all hope that it would get cleaned at all. I strongly recommend that if you are a friend plan on staying here make it a one night stay in a low rate room. Save yourself a repetitive disappointment on a four day stay.

Will return

The location was perfect! This grand Hotel was romantic. We had a Bourbon Street view, I was hesitant on the room at first because of the noise factor, but when I went to bed it was very quiet within the room. I loved the location, location, location. Service was great and friendly and helpful. The restaurant was ok but clean. Our loft room was beautiful (except the ugly couch in our downstairs living room). The hotel itself is very beautiful, it had fresh cut flowers and was very clean, and poolside was beautiful just to sit and look. Pricey, but was worth it.

A beauty with a haunting past
By ,
As a Medium I can tell you that the Bourbon Orleans is quite “active” with those in Spirit. One evening while taking a walk through the streets of the French Quarter my husband and I walked past the Bourbon Orleans. The hotel bellman was standing outside the beautiful hotel and we began to talk. He suggested we go inside the hotel to see the beautiful ballroom. So, my husband and I took him up on the offer. As we walked up the impressive stairway to the second floor landing my husband began to open the first door we saw to the ballroom – it was locked so we walked a few steps down the same hallway to the next door. Now, as a Medium I began to “feel” the presence of those in Spirit. We reached the second door and as my husband began to open it – I bolted out of the hotel so quickly that I don’t recall even going down the stairs. When I returned outside the bellman asked me how I liked the Grand Ballroom. At this time I said to him, “I never went in the room, that place is filled with Spirit activity”. I also told him that I knew nothing about the hotel or it’s history. I then told him I was a Medium. He began to tell me the history of the hotel which confirmed what I felt and saw… So, if you have always wanted to stay in a Grand but haunted Hotel this is the place for you…. sleep well.

expensive closet sized room!!!
By ,
This is not a good hotel. We booked 3 rooms, which were all a little bigger then a walk in closet. Expensive valet parking (only option) as they will not tell you where else you can find parking. Luke warm water no water pressure. Front desk staff not friendly or helpful. Would not stay here again. While it is right off of bourbon, I would rather walk a few blocks to find a nicer hotel!!!

\"Not Bad At All\"
By ,
After reading the reviews before I traveled to N.O. I was terrified about staying at the Bourbon Orleans, what a welcomed surprise. The location and staff was awesome, can't wait to go back. They have computers with free internet. What a great place...............

I will NEVER stay here again
By ,
They didnt check me in UNTIL 3:00a.m. I arrived at 10:30pm They didnt give me the room I asked for and charged me double. The room was too loud and smelled of smoke. It was cold, dirty, the carpets had stains and smudges. I only could stay 5 hours until I had to check out because it was disgusting. They lied to me at each point of my visit. They didnt care at all about my comfort or about my problems. I will never ever stay there again. They are a rip off.

Ok, but....
By ,
Great location. Maid service was spotty, with no shampoo or soap left when cleaning and no vacuum. We stayed 4 nights. Maintenance was changing lightbulbs in corridors and left broken pieces of glass on floor. I certainly expected better for the price.

It was amazing!
The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. Our room had two queen beds and a window that overlooked Orleans St. You would have a hard time beating the location, too. It wouldn't matter if you were there to sightsee, eat or party. This is the perfect hotel. The staff was also very friendly.
