Travelers BEWARE!!!!!
This was the WORST experience I have EVER had with a hotel. My husband works out of state and from time to time has stayed in some lower budget hotels just to save some money. His thinking is that he only has to sleep there. With this trip, it just so happened that he was only 3 1/2 hours away from home so, I decided to go up and stay over the holiday weekend with him. He arrived and checked in on Monday Aug. 30 and paid the weekly rate. I arrived on Sept. 30 and was completely appalled at the condition of the room. Aside from it being very old and run down, there were food stains on the walls, the tub was filthy, and there were dead bugs in the bathroom. This doesn't even include what I found under the night stand when I was packing. Saturday, we didn't have maid service, I wanted to strip the bed myself to ease my mind over what I may or may not find. I was able to sleep a bit better that night except for the lack of the extra pillow that was asked for and never received. The woman owner/owner's wife did come and check in on me because I had the door open letting in some fresh air. I thought that was nice of her. However, she failed to mention the "problem" that was to arise on Sunday. Sunday morning at 11:20 I received a phone call from the front desk asking when we were going to pay for the room, and that we owed for Saturday and it was now past check out on Sunday. I told the owner that my husband was at work and he would take care of it when he got out. I was told that was "unacceptable" and that I had "better get out now". Not too sure what calendar they work off of but, last I know a week was 7 days, not 5. Shortly after the phone call from the office, he was banging at my door. I didn't open it and called my husband and told him he had better get there quick. In the meantime, the phone was ringing again. All of this came down to them not knowing how to use their computer system and putting wrong dates in. Instead of getting their facts straight and looking at ALL the paper work, they harassed a customer. He did offer an apology to my husband but NEVER said one thing about how he treated me. I had all of our stuff packed and ready to go by the time they figured out that they had made a mistake. We move on to a wonderful hotel at a better rate!!!! Please see pictures.
