Do Not Stay Here
By ,
My dad was in the hospital and our entire family checked into this hotel and were up half the night due to the horrible feeling of staying in this place. We are not fancy people but this is the most horrible and dirty place any of us had ever stayed. We couldn't check out fast enough and move ourselves to another hotel. Please save yourself the heartache.

I liked it! Also, it's really cheap and clean. service was good also :) it was great! You guys should go to this hotel because others are too expensive and one hotel right next to this hotel charge you by watching tv
By ,
It was really cheap, clean. It's located close to downtown of Kansas city so it was easy for me to move around. One hotel right next to this one tried to charge me by watching TV every 30 min. -_-^^

Do Not Stay at this motel
By ,
When we check into our room the service at the front desk was awful. The young man wasn't very helpful. Whe we got to the room we asked for a non smoking and that the first thing you smelled. The Bed spread was dirty, I could scrape off a stain on it. The room overall was not clean , The bathroom was dirty. The ref. did not work, very loud all evening long and when we went to bed you would think it would be somewhat dark wrong. You could read a book in the dark. We had to be at the KC medical Center, and we check out the following day and went some where else. We had a far better experience after we left the Sun Inn. Never never again

The answer to our prayers!
By ,
Recently my mother had to stay at KU Med for several days following a major surgery. I contacted Sun Inn due to the great location and found so much more. They were not only convenient, they were kind, curteous and affordable. The rooms are a little older but my room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helped in any way the possibly could. Breakfast was ok, my nine year old daughters were satisfied (this made me satisfied). Aslo, I had to stay here for a few nights alone and felt very safe. Overall, if you have a family member staying at KU Med then you know you are not looking for a Spa to hang out in, you are looking for someplace to stay the will keep you comfortable and close to your loved one. Overall, I give my stay here a 10 because of ALL of its qualities.

Won't Go Back
By ,
My husband stayed at the Sun Inn long term while he was in Kansas City on business and despite having a "Do Not Disturb" sign outside his door was RUDELY awakened by housekeeping staff banging on his door to clean his room. My husband had worked until 2 a.m. and was awakened at 9 a.m. He politely told the staff that he'd worked late and they could come back after he left for work at 10:00 a.m. as he does every day. They insisted, at one point yelling, that he leave the room so they could clean it. When he spoke to the manager about it she told him if he didn't like it he could leave and then refused to give the owner's name to my husband so that we could lodge a complaint with the owner personally.

Sun Inn

The hotel is ceonvenient for going back and forth to KU medical center. However the place is a mess. The carpet is stained in the hall and in the rooms. The mattresses are shot and the room we stayed in had a leaky toilet. Unfortunately this place has seen better days.

Excellent
By ,
I was very very pleased with the service and condition of this hotel. I'm used to staying at larger more expensive hotels but chose this one for it's convenience of location across from the hospital; since I'm not from KC. I was pleasantly pleased with the helpfulness of our receptionist and the cleanliness of the room. The only thing that could have made it better was a small coffee pot in the room. Otherwise, kudos to this hotel and thank you.

Filthy
By ,
Unfortunately, this hotel has seen better days. Upon check-in, we found the room to be filthy. The bathroom was dirty and the edges around the carpet were black with dirt. Even though the location is convenient, I will drive further and pay more to stay someplace that is cleanier.

Very nice people
By ,
The front desk staff at this hotel are very kind, understanding, accomadating and friendly. The inn is directly across the street from the KU Medical Center which is where my dear sister is currently a patient at. The rates are adjusted for those who have loved ones in the hospital. Overall our stay as been as well as expected. The beds are very small, but not terribly uncomfortable and the hotel is very old and kind of rundown. We didn't spend much time there anyways, it was just so nice to be able to just walk across the street to the hospital instead of having to find parking everytime.

Not so good!!!!!!
By ,
I liked the convenience of being so close to KU Medical Center but the cleanliness of the room was terrible. The bathroom was still dirty when we checked into the room.
