PLEASE don't ever stay here!
By anonymous, 2/23/10
My husband wanted a cheaper room to stay at one night because he was driving to IA for business. He said the bathroom tiles were coming up and you could see the wood floor beneath, plaster was falling from the ceiling, there were huge stains all over the carpet, and long hairs in the bed! He said the whole place was dirty! Needless to say he got his money back and went somewhere else!

LOVED our stay & can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/08
My husband and I stayed here a couple years ago for our anniversary in two different fantasuites. It was a bit pricey but worth a weekend get away! They were VERY accomidating, even tho there's a 2 hour difference in check out and check in time, we were allowed to stay in the 1st room after check out time until our second room was ready. We were there while the pool was being remodeled too, but the sign out front warned the pool was closed so it was not unexpected. We went back a couple weeks ago and this time took our young son. He absolutely LOVED it! He said the "Castle Look" made him feel very comfortable. This time we stayed in a "regular room" and the cost of it was more than reasonable and even tho they have a NO CHECK policy, they were kind enough to make an exception and except our check when we realized we didn't have much cash with us. The pool area was nice, quiet and clean, plus it's fenced off and private and the water was perfectly warm! They've done an AWESOME job remodeling and the FREE Pool Side Breakfast was made to order so we got exactly what we wanted. We will definately return many more times! As a matter of fact I'm making reservations right now! We never expirienced a noise problem either time we stayed there. And not like other places, I DO NOT need a credit card to reserve a room! I do not own a credit card and NEVER will so finding a place that reserves on your good name is awesome. Our family LOVES this motel and feel safe and sound with their service and facility. TAHNK YOU ECONO LODGE! Looking forward to staying again SOON!

Not worth it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/9/07
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary in one of the themed suites. We paid a lot of money. The room was dirty. We had to call the front desk for an ashtray that never was delivered. My husband was told to get it himself from the bar downstairs. Never got wake-up call that we requested. Didn't have free breakfast and the pool was under renovation. We complained and received papers to fill out and send in. We didn't receive apology, discount, or anything. We will never waste our hard earned money at this place again.

Not clean, smells and bad atmosphere. After checking in went to the side entance and the floors were crudie and my room was upstairs . I walked up one flight and couldn't take it. I knew I wouldn't get any rest. Has a bar that makes things worse..people lurking around. a Women traveling alone diffently shouldn't stay here.
