Fort Wayne Inn, Fort Wayne

This is not a 3 star hotel, it is definately a 1 and a half or 2. Maybe there are some floors that have been redone, but I didnt get one and it was disgusting. From what I saw, the entire hotel was in need of updating. Stains everywhere, sagging beds, old towels, looked like the toiletries were bought at an auction as none of them matched and were from different hotels. Flithy halls (floors and walls). Back parking lot dark. I felt unsafe in the hotel. It seemed as if it was one of those hotels that might have prostitutes or cheap rent rooms by the month. We did not eat the free continental breakfast as we couldn't wait to get out of the hotel in the morning.

Booked on priceline with a lowball amount that I never thought would be accepted. Stayed with teams for a basketball tournament & they opened a breakfast area in the mornings just for the players. Staff was courteous and helpful. It is an older hotel with some remodeling done, needs some more, but not bad. Pool and workout rooms are decent & they could add a little more to the continental breakfast as far as choices. Great value for the price.

the hotel wasn't cleared. the interior needed to be replaced. my room wasn't cleaned. it was dirty. the carpet wasn't cleaned. the hallways are not lit. the carpets are stained and dirty. the mat in the tub was a little scum and dirty. there were stains all over the pillows. i wouldn't stay here again.

i loved the setting ...it was very home feeling. The staff were very friendly. My fiancee and i stayed in a 14th floor suite and were blown away with all the new and improved renovations they have done. We loved the price and quality of this hotel so much , we booked our wedding in there grand ball room on the second floor next to there beautiful indoor pool. They gave us comfort in planning the details and setup of our wedding. I would definately send everyone i know to this hotel.

I think the place was great they have done alot of improvement. They have redone the whole pool and have gotten several floors done also. I would recommended this hotel to anyone. It is centralized in the city way cheaper than the hilton and great customer service.

There was a strong odor in the rooms. The carpets were stained. They charged $4.95 for a continental breakfast - the cereal and bagel were stale. A buffet breakfast was also available for $11.95. Everything on it was cold.

Upon check in I found out they were no longer a Holiday Inn. The lobby was acceptable except the carpet looked old and worn. There is a strange smell in the lobby as well in one of our rooms. They appear to painting the exterior of building. The rooms were dated. There were stains of the carpet in the hallways. The bathtub has mildew in the corners. Under the bathmat the porcelain was gone on the tub so it just looked gross. The staff was very nice. But I do not think this is a 2.5 rated hotel. Probably more of a 1.5. The location was convenient to what I needed that was why I did not check out however, I do not think I will ever stay there again under the current conditions of the hotel.

After having flight problems United Airlines put us up in this hotel. Don't let the sign fool you, they lost their Holiday Inn connection. We were greeted by some strange smell in the lobby that followed us up to the room and got worse when you opened the door. Went out to eat and when I got back they told me their was no water. We felt unsafe in the hotel, it was dirty dirty dirty and I can't believe the airline would put us up in a place like this. We checked ourselves out and walked the 2 blocks down the street to the Hilton. It was a beautiful, clean, comfortable haven.

Pros: Service was fine, the room itself was quite comfortable and the location was handy for downtown Fort Wayne. Cons: Aside from the front lobby the hotel was not clean and on the floor I was on there was a pronounced unpleasant odor in the hall and large stains on the hall carpet. The room was only fairly clean - the sleeping area was fine but the bathroom was not. The food was poor - even by hotel standards. Overall: I would suggest trying one of the B&Bs or the Hilton.

it was horrible i sayed up all night because of the hard cheap bed there was hair all in the bathroon and when i moved the shower mat it was meldew all under it
