Terrible hotel experience
By chrs, 4/2/12
Was looking for a cheap place to spend 4-5 hours max sleeping before getting into Chicago, saw the low price and decided to check in. Horrible room. Shower did not work, dried blood in the sink, towels did not look like they were washed. The toilets when we wiped them off looked like they had been urinated on (the seat). The curtain on the sliding patio door was broken and falling off, the plug in was burned (as in scorched). Since we were there in an attempt to sleep, we tried to lay down, but the noise was terrible, we left without unpacking our stuff. Tried to get a refund and they said they had no refund policy. I would not visit this hotel unless someone was willing to pay me 100 bucks to spend the night there.

Best Bang for the Buck Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/10/10
I first discovered the Best Budget Inn in 2009, visiting Joliet for the 1st time, on a hot summer day. I had spent the night before in the nearby Wingate Hotel, a luxurious stay, with frankly, many more amenities than I could possibly use. I then discovered BBI nestled conveniently between a Will County Forest Preserve and Shell Gas Station - with an ajoining McDonald's next to the station. I was looking for a comfortable room, at a reasonable price for an overall good value. After being greeted with a friendly & helpful front desk person, I received my room key to a room on the 2nd floor, which was not as plush & fashionable as the Wingate accomodation, but for half the price - was a relatively clean, comfortable & safe stay and in my opinion, a GREAT value! I have happily found a Best Kept Secret in Joliet, whenever I'm in town!!

Stay away.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/07
Was looking for a good price on a hotel for a weekly stay. When you first walk into the lobby, it appears to be a fairly decent hotel. I booked a room for a week, proceeded to drive around the back and it felt like I had taken a wrong turn and ended up in an inner city project. Was greeted at my sections entrance by a loose german shepard dog. Beer bottles and other random garbage was scattered around the curb. A glass window in the hallway had been broken without repair. I got to the room finally and it was filthy, very small, stinky, unclean, and I could hear peoples TVs from at least 3 rooms away. I immediately went to the front desk to check out, they proceeded to show me one of the new "renovated" rooms. It was the same as all the other rooms except for the brighter lighting. Maybe if you are young and looking for a cheap place to throw a drunken party with friends, this could be for you. Otherwise, stay away.

Bad Hotel
By Sylvia, 5/25/05
The personal were nice but the overall experience was awful. There was no hot water to shower. The rooms were dirty and in need of severe service. I was biten by a spider on the bed. There were cob webs all around the room.

Pretty bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/9/04
I am glad it was dark when I checked in. Pretty run down and dirty. I had booked it for the whole week, but checked out first thing in the morning. Better book something else.
