Can't wait to go back!
By Rum Runner, 5/9/12
Stayed here in October last year and have to admit, having been in a few hotels in my life...this one was fantastic. The view was amazing and it was only minutes from the venue where I was seeing a show. Hotel staff was nice and very helpful. Had a friend come up for a few minutes and he liked the view. Would recommend staying there.

Cannot wait to go back
By Jax, 7/12/10
LOCATION & VIEW was awesome, our river view was gorgeous & the windows open, which makes it feel more like you're outside. Our room was VERY nice, the bed and comforter was super comfy. Loved the 2 marble sinks across from eachother and loved how the bathroom (huge!) had seperate huge tub and seperate stand up shower & the water fell from the ceiling. SO cool! It felt very swank and fancy. The hotel staff were all just so nice and friendly and very very helpful. Yes, there are only 2 ice machines, one on 12th floor & the other is on 36th or 37th, so that's a bummer but still, no big deal. We ordered room service for breakfast one of our mornings & the presentation was very lovely & the server dropping it off was so professional, I felt like I was in a 5 star $1000 night suite! I find it hard to believe that other reviews are so negative. Maybe there was just poor planning on their behalf, I don't know....but our stay was wonderful and I would defanitely 100% stay there again & will probably ask for the same room!!

Location was great, hotel not so much.
By Jannab, 6/30/10
We had a suite on the 31st floor. Beautiful views, and suite was large enough. But it was old and smelled very musty. Furniture was cheap, tub was dirty, lighting very dim. The maid forgot to take out the garbage one day. Ice machine was on another floor. Lamp shade was scorched, so was afraid to turn on the lamp! In the lobby one of the vases was cracked. Just didn't seem like they cared or paid much attention to the upkeep/decor of the hotel. I would not recommend nor would I stay there again, especially for the price we paid.

GREAT PRICE - CLEAN - LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
By Christoff, 4/21/09
I just traveled to the hotel last week after the Easter holiday. I was skeptical based off of what I have read about the elevators and rooms. The elevators worked great, the rooms were clean. I booked online for more than three days in a row and got $85 a night. The place is very well located. You can walk almost anywhere from here. The hotel has no restaurant or pool, but who cares! Took my wife and two boys and we will be back to this hotel.

Not all it's cranked up to be
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/24/09
We did like the proximity of the hotel for the price and some of the staff. The quality of service and room amenitites all depends on the check-in person--not when you made your reservation or whether or not you upgraded. Some of staff has really bad attitude, while others (like the doorman -- were wonderful). We had a party of four (2 rooms) both were upgrades..but both had to be changed once due to noise and quality of room. No restaurant..but still crank up cost of food to room with $3.00 delivery charge and 20% mandatory service fee -- we figure you still have to tip the waitperson. Pillows -- very hard -- Beds.. if you're lucky you'll get a refurbished room with pillowtop bed..if not you get a rock hard bed with no cushion what-so-ever. No trash can in the lobby -- what a pain. No ice tubs in the room -- only two floors with Ice machines -- and very slow elevators. Elevators are split so you can't use any elevator and it is a pain if you have more than one party involved. Business Center is a J-o-k-e. Non-maintained and abused machines don't work and there is no one available to assist. Just some real basic considerations just aren't there--I will not spend another $2,000 with this hotel again.

Horrible Place to Stay!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/3/08
Excellent location, but that is all that the hotel has going for it. When we checked in, the front desk was very eager to have us upgrade our room. However, they forgot to mention that their are only two elevators for our floor and that they were not working properly. We had to wait over 30 for an elevator to arrive and be unable to get on because it was too full. We had to take the stairs from the 37th floor. Horrible place!

Depends on what you need
By beng, 11/23/07
We stayed there for a weekend for a wedding in early novemeber. We were in a renovated room with no view, but the room was very nice. Huge comfortable bed. If you need a place to sleep at an affordable price, this is the hotel for you. If you need a place with a restaurant and great staff etc, and you are going to be spending lots of time in your hotel, not for you. no bar, lounge, etc. Good location, great price. The rooms are put together, but no one though of the details, like actually having an outlet within 30 feet of the coffeemaker they give you. Or have a shower head situated where you can actually shower without leaning into the shower door, etc. But all in all, very chic designer new, definitely being renovated still, but great price and great location fits your bill, then this is the place for you, if you want a nice restaurant, lounge, etc, you have hard rock and conrad, etc down the road.
