800 555 1212Phone number
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/1/11
I was shocked to find out that your web site has no mention of your hotel's phone number. I was trying to call a friend already staying at your residense with no luck finding a phone number to your front desk. What's the big secret? You make things difficult this way.

We shall return
By hitlo, 2/16/10
My family liked everything about the hotel. The location, right at the bus stop, walking distance from the beach. The staff was great, the persons at the travel desk were extremely helpful. This was our pastor and his wifes' 1st time to honolulu, but it won't be their last.

Dangerous Bug Infestation
By alterations, 12/14/08
The ONLY positive is: walking distance to beach & easy access to Waikiki. We rented 6 condos during Thanksgiving week, and the carpets, sofa beds and refrigerators were dirty, the room smelled bad. The place is bug-infested. We found bugs in our beds and I killed several in the kitchen and bathroom that had blood in them! The first morning I had small blood stains on my sheets and a dead bug, but I didn't feel or see any bites on my back. I had the sheets changed. 3 days later - the same! both twin beds! The mattresses must have been infested. 10 days later I broke out in extremely itchy hives which turns out to be SCABIES - a highly contagious extremely uncomfortable disease which you may not know you have for several weeks. Treatment is miserable! And you have to decontaminate everything you came into physical contact with (the complete bed, car, carpet, sofa, and your loved ones!!!). You can't see the microscopic mites that burrow in your skin. They did not inform us during reservations and not even when we checked-in that they were renovating - we found a note on the kitchen counter! On another travel review site I just noticed the general manager responded in July that they were renovating, well, they are still renovating and you can't tell - lobby, elevators, hallways are all run-down! I highly recommend AGAINST staying here until you see a written certification that the entire bldg has been decontaminated of microscopic parasites. I am reporting this to the Health Dept. Staff was not friendly. Also I find it interesting that neither the 2 concierges nor any of the front desk staff knew anything about the beach closures due to sewage overflow when we ask them for a status several times; this was on the news day and night - it's something I expect people in the hospitality business should know.

Extremely pleased
By Sarah Colvig, 8/6/08
I had read both good and bad reviews when I booked our room here as part of a package with our flight. I was hoping it wouldn't be a dump, as I was traveling with my daughter, son-in-law, and their 2 toddlers. I had only booked a single room and was afraid it wouldn't be big enough, but as they sleep with their little ones, it was just fine. My daughter said the bed was SO comfortable. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and had a wonderful view, and we really appreciated the full kitchen. I really liked the location also, on the quieter east side of Waikiki. But it's close enough to walk to the busier areas. I don't usually travel to tourity places like Waikiki, but we were there for a wedding. The Waikiki Sunset made a great home base for us. The lovely beach was very close. Loved the view also, of the mountains, and part of Diamond Head. I know our stay here made our trip extra special, and changed my opinion about Waikiki.

Mold
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/20/08
The fully equipped kithchen was anything but. We cooked most of our meals. We had to purchase utensils. There was no sink stopper. That carpets and floors were filthy. The maids never knocked before entering(that was embarassing). They would not clean the bathroom and we had to call and ask for clean towels. The tub stopper laid on the bathroom floor the entire time we were there. Our bed was 2 twin beds pushed together with a thin foam convoluted matress pad placed over top of the crack in the middle. The legs were wire tied together. We all became ill shortly after arriving. We would be OK at the times we were out, which was the bulk of most days. There was mold on the ceiling in the sauna, the men's room on the 6th floor close to the pool. We discovered mold inside the bathroom cabinets in our room as well as the tub caulking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a health hazard.

Let the Bed Bugs Bite
By Mr. P, 5/3/08
They did not have the superior room I reserved. When they did find a room it was filthy and smelled of urine and body odor with visible stains on the carpet. I requested the carpets be cleaned but we needed to vacate room for 8 hours so we did. We left 8am returned 6pm and the carpets were noticeably cleaner. At 11pm that night we discovered Bed Bugs on my sister's bed we killed 2 of them and no doubt they were indeed Bed Bugs. When I lifted the mattress several more scurryed around and I found 2 nests of them on the end of the box spring and the tell tale "leavings" that look like coffee stains. After a full day out we had to pack up and move rooms in the middle of the night. The new room had no Bed Bugs but was just as filthy and smelly as the first. I went to the corner store the next morning for Fabreeze to spray the carpet with. In closing I'd like to say that there was nothing superior about this hotel except the price of the rooms. The people in housekeeping and at the front desk were also above average. I can not recommend this hotel at these prices as it is just not worth it. This was my fifth and last time I will stay here. They have lost a good customer for good.

It was okay
By CheriH, 2/7/08
Our room was on the 14th floor with a beautiful view of Diamond Head. When we walked in the room it felt like you were going downhill. After viewing the rest of the suite, we realized the entire room sloped to the middle. The cookware needs to be replaced. The location is close to the zoo and aquarium but not to the core of Waikiki shopping and restaurants. There were 4 elevators but there were times you had to wait. We booked this hotel on a discount. We would have been really disappointed if it were at full price.

Nice location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/6/08
Nice location, adequate facilities for the money, not at all like the pictures, plain furnishings, clean enough, if you want to do some serious cooking there, the cooking pans, etc were limited. We had to ask for 2 rollaways while there, they charged $45 each and they were rundown dented in pieces of crap. At least buy something better for that price or don't charge for them! The pool was nice, computer room nice, service good, good access to shops and restaurants and very good access to beach. The maids were always pleasant when we asked for supplies. Bring your own tp or constantly ask for it! We were there with kids and it was annoying but the maids were nice about it when we asked for it. We found we really didn't need a car while there, the trolley and bus system are extremely convenient and run on into the night. Besides you will want to walk a lot along the beautiful paved path along the beach which is 2 blocks from the condo and goes for miles!

we'll see you next year
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/07
I don't like the noise in the hallway after 11.pm! I like the staff at the front desk and the housekeping staff. I wish you would remodle the two bedroom apartment!
