Almost perfect!
By BeckyS, 8/11/06
As everyone else has said, the location is wonderful. We loved the overall feel of the hotel itself. The stores, the restraunts, the views...lovely. The only drawbacks? 3 disappointments come to mind: the rooms really do need an update, the cleaning could have been a little more to detail and the pools are odd to enjoy and small. Although the beaches were close by and beautiful, sometimes it's nice to be able to simply enjoy some pool time which we were never really able to do. Too crouded. One more thing...could they keep the pool-side bar open later? We would have loved to have enoyed an evening by the pool overlooking the ocean with a cocktail! I would go back but first I would check for a slightly more updated property.

The View!!!
By ChristopherJ, 7/25/06
If for no other reason, this hotel has one of the greatest views I have ever seen. On the balcony (better from higher floors) you can see a panaramic view of the ocean. Although the beach is skimpy along the hotel(meaning not much sand area along the hotels border) the ocean is not missing at all! we sat on the balcony and watched sea turtles poke their heads up to breath! Probably the highlight of the whole trip! Also, beds were soft and comfortable, showers and bathrooms were nicely updated and modern, service was friendly and quick (need a towel, its there in less than 5 minutes), and its nicely located to shopping and nightlife.

wonderful experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/22/06
My sister, brother-in-law, nephew, husband and I stayed here in June of 2005. We had adjoining ocean view rooms that were great. Could sit on the lanai and watch surfers and also nightly entertainment. Our rooms were very nice. Location is great. Close to shopping and right on beach. Service was very good and staff friendly. If I ever get to go back would stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends.

It is the only hotel on Waikiki from which you may view all hotels from Royal Hawaiian to Diamond Head! The view is uninterrupted! It is absolutely spectacular!

Manor Annex great value but you get what you pay for
By AL, 9/24/05
We stayed in the Manor Annex (which lists for $120 a night but is often discounted) and had a mixed experience. The location and facilities were first rate and highly recommended. Our rooms reminded me of my old dorms with worn carpets and drapes that don't close properly. The Sheraton Waikiki was right in downtown Waikiki with beautiful views of the ocean from the lobby. The lobby was very busy -- it reminded me of Grand Central Station. A short stroll leads out to the beach with gorgeous views of Diamond on the left. We had the breakfast buffet (combination of Western and Japanese fare) and took the free aerobics classes offered in the fitness center. The Sheraton also offered a special lounge with showers for those who wanted to stay the rest of the day after checkout time. All this for $100? The great deal we had was tempered by the quality of our rooms. The Sheraton Manor is really a separate wing of the hotel (about 4 floors) on the right side and overlooks the parking lot. Essentially, we stayed in a 2 star Motel 8 with rights and priveldges to a 5 star hotel. We didn't care so much as we only stayed in our rooms to sleep and spent most of the time lounging by the pool enjoying the same amenities as people paying $400 a night.

A week of enjoyment and sun
By Rod, 6/9/05
Taking the whole family we thought there might be some problems but what we all had was a fantastic time! The hotel was beautiful. The staff went out of their way to please us with comfort. Located right on the beach was another benefit with the kids as well as walking distance to numerous stores and restaurants. A week of pure enjoyment.

BGM is the sound of the wave...
By AsukaS, 6/9/05
I like the location a lot! The view from a balcony was so wonderful!!! Until late night, under the balcony the sound of Hawaiian and waves of the waikiki beach. Dislike? Ummmm, I have no idea about dislike. For me, this hotel was perfect to escape from the hectic world. If I could I'd like to go back there soon.
