We are going back next year
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/16/05
The location was excellent and the price was good for the location, the beach was just walking distance and the staff was also friendly, hotel was nice and clean every day we had something to do you just can't get bored. The island is just too expensive but you can find bargians just walk around and see and entertainment just behind the hotel. Advice: Save lots of money for this trip.

Awful Food!!!
By Charles, 8/1/05
I did not stay at the hotel, but my wife and I dropped by the hotel for its seafood buffet ($35/pp). This was absolutely, without comparison, the WORST buffet I have ever had!!! The buffet supposedly runs from arond 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm or so. However, by the time my wife and I got started at 7:30 pm, the advertised raw tuna was almost gone (tuna is fairly cheap in Hawaii by the way). And a few other items also dwindled quickly or disappeared by 8:00 pm -- NEVER to be refilled. The shrip cocktail -- smallest shrimps I have ever seen served at any restaurant!! And they are not even peeled!! This restaurant has absolutely no pride when it comes to food preparation. Try this out and you will see why I think it deserves to join the All-Time-WORST list. Positive side -- the three man band on Thursdays are quite good. The guys can really sing if you like Hawaiian songs. Also, deserts are not half bad and seem to be adequately provided (did not seem to run out). Service is very slow, but that tends to be the case in Hawaii restaurants.

THE PLACE TO STAY
By Jenna, 8/3/05
My Husband and I really enjoyed staying here at the PK. The location was perfect couldnt ask for anything more. Yes there were some night walkers but who cares its not like they are going to go up to the room with you! Overall we were very pleased with the hospitality and our Honeymoon!!! : )

Free trip made better by hotel
By New Mom, 3/7/06
I loved how we we're treated by the staff. My husband and I won a free trip with our company and the staff there treated us like a king and queen. Plus the hotel was right on the beach. Thank you Sheraton Princess Kaiulani.

Nice hotel, but definatley not a 4 star
By Bobbi B, 2/4/06
The rooms were clean, decent, however, bathrooms definately need to be updated. They were obviously old, tiles were eroded and the sink was old fashioned, not in a good way. Overall, room was fine. Only stayed one night, so other hotel facilities were not used.

The best place to stay !!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/28/05
We love staying at this hotel. The service is great. They have great bar tenders. The beach is just across the street. It's so convinient, so close to everything. Affordable! We always stay in this hotel when we go to Oahu. Our mother-in-law offered to pay for us to stay at Kahala Mandarin Hotel, but we prefer to stay at the Princess Kaiulani. I recommend it to everyone!!!!!!!!!

Over Priced
By Roy, 1/15/06
Meals were over priced 20.00 for breakfast for one, and lunch and dinner even higher. Bed was hard as a rock. Rooms clean and staff helpful,

Fantastic place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/20/10
The rooms are exceptional although we would have preferred a slightly better view that we had of the adjacent hotel. the beds are comfotable just like home, the A/C is very handy and very quiet. The facilities in the rioom such as coffee maker make it that more comfortable, with the big TV in the room and the options that come with it makes the lazy stay much more relaxing. The meals you cannot fault with the choices available at all three meal times and the night shows are fantastic we even had a song played for us being from Australia. If you need to find something ask the staff they are extremely friendly and helpful, the guys at the porters bay are the ones that really know all the good places to go to or visit. Mike the welcoming Manager is very knowledgable and an ex Vietnam Vet like me we had a long talk about the places we served, Mike did you enjoy the boomerang that we sent you? What we found surrounding the hotel in the way of shopping was terrific for value, the bus service you cannot fault at $2 per trip even the small stalls inside the hotel are great make sure you visit the stall run by a sweet lady Miss Wallace. We were in Oahu for 10 days and in that time we could not fit everything in to do as a tourist yet every day we were out all day and busy all the time, Mike told us to visit the Polynesian Tourist gardens we were so glad that we did, its a long day but one wel worth the experience. The next time we come back it will be longer than ten days and we will most definitely be staying at the Sheraton the wife loved the music and the people and the friendliness, if we could we'd immigrate. Thank you again Gary & Angelika Melbourne Australia
