Not So Good
By ,
What I like about this hotel is the location, that's it. For my sister and I the servicneeds improvement. The front desk customer service,,,not very friendly and accomodating. my sister arrived earlier than me and they won't let her in our room she waited almost 5 hrs..there is this young woman who is just rude, we hated to even go to the front desk. the house keeping people even acted more professional and nice .Our bathroom is old does not smell clean..this is not worth $1200+ for 6 nights..

Wonderful Experience
By ,
I had read so many reviews about this hotel and a lot of them were negative, more like whining. The experience was absolutely wonderful; the staff was courteous and helpful; the rooms were very well kept and the location is just right. The food was okay but didn't spend a lot of time eating at the hotel. My trip was a family trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The reviews I read talked about how dated the hotel is and it is, but it's also very well kept, not old and smelly or moldy or anything like that. I sincerely would recommend this hotel to anyone and would gladly stay there again myself.

Second class service
By ,
I will never stay at this hotel again. I've been staying here since I was a little kid, but haven't been for the past 4 years. Wow, how it has changed in 4 years. Besides the 144 sq ft of a box they put us in, the service is horrible. The people at this hotel treated us like crap the whole time we stayed here. We had a waitress who was extremely rude who told us they have a 1 drink minimum to sit in the bar area. 1 drink minimum?!?! Maybe it was the way we looked? This is a 2 star hotel at best, who charges a minimum drink order just to sit in the bar/lounge area. Ridiculous! Then, on our last night here, we woke up several times to the drunk guy in the next room pounding and kicking the walls and door. Security was called a couple times and they did come up, but it didn't really help. Then when we tried to get a late checkout because drunko next door kept us up all night, they have no record of it and are only willing to extend it 1 hour. I am very upset with the service we've received here and how this place has gone downhill. It needs a major upgrade and renovation, which probably hasn't been done since the Reagan administration. The only thing it really has going is the central location. Overall? If you like second class treatment, the late 80's non intentional nostalgic look of a hotel, a cheap hotel with a good location across from the beach then this is it. Just don't eat at the restaurant or get anything but a beer from the bar. Of the over 20 restaurants we ate at in Waikiki on our trip, this was the only one that had bland food and watered down drinks. Take my advice, check out the other hotels in the area with similar pricing.

Don't let the name Sheraton fool you
By ,
Don't let the exterior and the Sheraton name fool you. This is one of the worst hotels on the boulevard. The rooms are very small and dated. (The size of a big Closet) The paint, carpets are dirty and stained make sure you check under the bed when checking in. This review my get rejected if I say what I found. The locals have nick names for the hotel and none of them are good. The two groups the hotel targets are Asians & industry workers who need to spend the night in town. The Atmosphere was like a motel rather than a Hawaiian resort hotel. The staff main concern is the Asian travelers, you will not be served unit you ask. I was told by an employee that the Asian economy is good and that's there main target group. There's only one place to eat and it looked bad and overpriced. Lowest price 32.00 some days more per person for a little buffet (no seafood) on lawn chairs. If you can find another hotel for same rate stay their you'll thank me. But if you’re forced to stay there you'll properly spend all your time at other hotels like we did. Sheraton shouldn't get away with passing off a dumpy hotel in there network. I’m boycotting all there hotels and you should to if you stayed there.

Nice place I would recommend it
By ,
We got this hotel through a travel agency for the USC vs. Hawaii football game as a package deal. When we arrived to the hotel the hospitality was nice, they had signs every where welcoming the trojans fans to the hotel which I thought was nice. everywhere we walked there was fans sporting the cardinal and gold so we felt at home. They give you the choice to take your own bags or they have a door man take your bags up. When you ask to take your own bags they set them aside somewhere while you check in. Well there was a discrepancy because we asked for them to take it up, but somehow they thought we would so we waited for awhile for our bags to come up but all along the were downstairs waiting for us. After we called the bell desk they brought them up 15 minutes later. The hotel itself was nice though, not too fancy but not low class either, its just right. Its about 5 minutes from the beach and is within walking distance to shopping area's and restaurants. The buffet is a little pricey but it was ok if you dont want to go far to eat, they also have entertainment every night which is pretty good and relaxing. The bar by the pool was nice as well, bartenders were friendly. The room was facing the pool and strip and was a pretty decent room with a nice little balcony were we ordered room service and sat on the balcony watching the nightly entertainment. The bed was nice with downs blankets and pillows, the best. The house keeping was ok, she cleaned everyday, however one time we left in the morning to go see pearl harbor at 6am and when we came back the room still wasnt cleaned it was 10am at that time and we were so tired we just told her it was ok, but she signed in our room anyways as if she cleaned it. The service there was good, the staff really try to help you with your needs. The pool is a little small but its nice. The hotel has the polynesian creation journey dinner, which if you stay there you get a discount to see the show, instead of paying an adult price you pay the childs price. the only time we needed transportation was when we went on our tours to dolphin snorkel excursion, pearl harbor but those tours came with transportation to and from our hotel, but everything else is within walking distance. The hotel is about 35 minutes from the airport. Theres a desk with the island activities such has hiking, pearl harbor tours, snorkeling tours, rentals etc the guy there was friendly and very helpful if your not too sure what you want to do he has great ideas and can help you find stuff.. The only real complaint I have about this hotel is the fact that we went when the Hyatt hotel next to our hotel was on strike and they were up at 5am in the morning loudly protesting and went on all day and when we tried walking around there were so many protesters that the sidewalks were packed and we had to squish our way through crowds. The hotel is very nice looking, i would recommend this hotel if your looking to find an inexpensive but nice hotel close to the beach with good service. I would go back to this hotel if I ever take another visit to Waikiki.

Great Value for your money
By ,
Great location to the beaches and shopping downtown, easy walking distince to every shop in the area. Bus service can be used for almost everything you want to see outside of your comfortable walking distance. Staff was excellent, sent champange to my room for wifes birthday and anniversary. Concerige was helpful in giving and providing directions, and was a central location for our tour pickup. Clean room and housekeeping staff curterous and helpful, view of the ocean was great (ninth floor) I would stay there again with no problem. Noise from outside, didn't really notice or pay attention if there was any (you are in Hawiai afterall) and no room noise from either side of me.

Central Waikiki
By ,
This hotel has a great location across the street from Waikiki Beach. Considering that the beachfront hotels don't have more than a few yards of beach, it hardly seems worth paying a premium to stay at a hotel directly on the water. On the downside, our city view room totally lacked atmosphere. There was a single Hawaiian decoration in the room. Plain white bedspread and curtains. The one picture on the wall was a very generic picture of seagulls. A little color and some petroglyph prints would have made a huge difference. Another negitive was the cost of wifi. $14 a day is to high so we had to make daily visits to Starbucks to update family and friends on our trip.

hawaii escape
By ,
I stayed here at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani almost a year ago and still cannot wait to go back. Honestly this hotel made my trip the best experience. The staff was professional everywhere: from check-in to poolside to the bartenders and cleaning crew. Everyone was absolutely a joy, seriously, I am from New York. Its a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. I would go back there in a heartbeat!
