Avoid the Royal Hawaiian Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/07
If you're going to spend this kind of money, the true hawaiian luxury hotel is the Kahala Hotel and Resorts, the Marriott Ihilani, the Halekulani Hotel, or the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The latest AAA rating I saw in November didn't rate this as one of the best luxury hotels in Hawaii. Frankly, I think the pink decor is over-done.

location was perfect
By pradeep, 9/8/07
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

We will never stay anywhere else...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/23/07
We decided to make our first trip together the #1 on both our lists...Hawaii. From the special greeting at the airport, the unheard of customer service, the fantastic charm of old Hollywood yet modern and vibrant facilities, this hotel has raised the bar for traveling. We will never stay at another hotel when we go to Hawaii. Every person we dealt with at the hotel genuinely cared about your stay and making it the very best experience. They went way above and beyond the call of service to do what the customer wanted. They made it feel like home. Our week stay was the best week we've ever had. We will be back to enjoy the part of our hearts we left behind at the Royal Hawaiian.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/18/07
had a verry bad service from the staff at the desk, when i asked about a different room, because i am slightly disabled and because of that, had problem with the bathroom. when ask about that , i was told, well this is a old hotel and all rooms are the same ( in other words= take it or leaved=). the staff in the restaurant had no idea what to charge me for the same breakfast.for 3 days same item ordered, different price!! we felt not verry welcome and and this note, dont think we will return with regrets jim and irma fraser frasjim@chaw.ca

The Royal Hawaiin Hotel
By Everardo, 4/6/07
The hotel was pretty awesome. The hotel has cable, restaurants, and anything you practically need! At the price of $291 you may think it is very expensive, but once you get there you'll find the money is worth it. It is one of the most clean hotels I have ever been to! One good offer of this hotel is the restaurants. You don't have to buy junkfood when is an excellent variety of Hawaiin fod. If you don't lke Hawaiin food perhaps you would like to buy junk food at a very near McDonalds (which I do not recommend). Another good offer is the view and the people. The view is very excellent and it is like living in a camera! The people that work there are very kind. If you just ask themfor anything you need, they will provide it! I hope this review helps you anytime you travel to Hawaii. Remember the price is $291 per person but the service and area is excellent!

The Rude Pool Guy
By Hal, 3/14/07
We just retuned from an overall wonderful stay at the Royal Hawiian but... I read all these reviews prior to making the careful and thoughtful decision to book the reservation here. Prior to our reservation, what is ironic, I had read wedancinbabe702 from Mukilteo, Washington, expereince concerning the rude pool guy. During our own hotel stay, without neither my wife nor daughter being aware of this exsiting reviewer's tainted experince, both of them came up to me separately to report this very rude pool person. Both gave me the same physical description. Suddenly a light went on and I remembered wedancinbabe702's review. I do have his name and intend on reporting him to the hotel management. A vacation at this very fine hotel should not include or be tarnished by one very negative staff person but a 100% positive expereince.

Royal treatment
By tony, 2/5/07
My wife and I had been waiting for some time for this trip. She's never been to Hawaii so I thought this would be a great 1st time Hotel and introduction to Hawaii. The staff was the best, always took care of us and even upgraded our room to an Ocean view. The room was just right with turn down service and little Hawaiian stories left on the bed at night. Mai tai bar did the trick, the pool was great and the beach location was perfect. Friday night Seafood buffet was awesome and access to local eats were only steps away. We of course fled the hotel a couple of times for the north shore and Hanama bay etc. But always looked forward to our nights at the Royal Hawaiian. Mahalo!
