There is no other place to stay!
By Katie, 01/13/10
This was our fifth time to Hawaii. We live in Chicago. The hotel is so nice. Historic and beautiful. The people are some of the nicest people we ever have meant. The staff is outstanding. The Tower room are nice, so you can view the beaches. With the sunsets and sunrises, Stay in one of these rooms and you will understand. It is outstanding. I would tell anyone to stay at the Greatest Hotel, The Royal Hawaiian!

I love it
By Karl, 06/13/09
I love everything thire. Beautiful Scenery, lovely Suites, Pananormoric View of ocean and spectacular destination. A gorgeous paradise palace is where I would like to go again and again. Every room has a cup of luxairy with detail of craftsmenship plus the least crowdiest beach in Waikiki and close to the most expensive shops.

Pink Palace at Waikiki
By darkene2k8, 04/10/09
As a kid I practically grew up in this hotel. When I moved to live in another country, I staid at Royal Hawaiian for 5 nights and all the memories came rushing back to me. You will love the garden surrounding the hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds are big. Bathroom is modern and clean too. The view we had was beach view and every day and night the sight is to-die-for. You could see the the clearness of the beach water and if you're lucky, you might see a honu (sea turtle) swim by. Of course Diamond Head is also in the view. Wake up to the sounds of the waves. Enjoy Royal Hawaiian as much as me and my family did.

Pink is the new AWESOME!!
By , 03/22/09
My wife and I were on a three island trip without the kids on our latest trip to Hawaii. We ended up staying at the Royal Hawaiiab while on Oahu almost immediately upon the re-open from their 7 month renovations to the historic building. The rooms were modern, elegant and thoughtfully classic without being retro. The grounds were just being finished and were beautiful. Most of all, the staff were some of the most considerate, helpful, and wonderful that we had ever experienced in a resort environment. Nothing was too much to ask, nothing was an inconvenience and everything was met with a smile and a warm 'Aloha' from valet to check-in to guest relations. It was a truly wonderful experience all around. From Oahu we travelled to Maui where we were incredibly disappointed and I would even say disgusted with our treatment at the Grand Wailea. We spent 3 nights there longing to be back at the Royal Hawaiin when we moved to what was to be our final destination on Kauai for 3 nights at the Kauai Marriott Resort (Lagoons). The people were accomodating and helpful, but agin, it was not the Royal. So much so that we ended up checking out the morning after our first night and headed back to Oahu for Royal Hawaiian where we were met with smiles, handshakes and a true and heartfelt welcome. If you are looking for a resort experience that makes you feel like a welcome member of a loving family in a setting of style and historic elegance, then look no further than the Royal Hawaiian. You will truly find no better place anywhere on the Hawaiian islands.

I Hate Pink
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/23/08
I lie, The Royal Hawaiian is the most special of hotel luxuary I have ever experenced. I have been to hawaii 5 times in my life. Twice when I was in Viet Nam and the others just to enjoy the Royal Hawaiian. I stayed at the Surfrider the first time and it was great! The other 4 times I stayed at the Royal Hawaiian it was more than great. It was heavenly. lot cheaper places non as good as the Royal Hawaiian. The beach at the Royal Hawaiian is "the" place to hang and watch and play and read and watch and eat and play and... It is in a great location to get to anywhere you want to go. The night life on the property is classic. I will attempt to stay exclusively at the Royal Hawaiian even if I have to re arrange my schedule to get a room. If you hate pink go to the Royal Hawaiian. If you love pink go to the Royal Hawaiian. Either go to hawaii you will love it as well as the Royal Hawaiian. I did, my wives did, my kids did and I hope my grand kids will when it reopens!!!! We plan to have a ball at the Royal Hawaiian and Hawaii!

A FIVE STAR LEGEND!!!
By Joe The Bear, 05/07/08
This hotel was a true delight - from check-in to checkout (and was treated to a hotel-sponsored tour of the premises) I know some people would dislike the older furnishings (the hotel had well-worn desks and bedframes). Overall - it was still a treat to have a very spacious room with a great view. We had two rooms in the classic building. Just look at some of my photos, I'll let these pictures speak for itself. **Reminder - This legendary hotel will be closed for 'refurbishing' from June, 2008 to January, 2009. It will reopen as part of the "Sheraton Luxury Collection" - I hope they don't change the exterior too much, just update the rooms with new furniture and TV - just don't take out the doors or classic closet doors (I just love those locks..So classic 1930's). I will ONLY stay here when I return to Waikiki - I can't stay anywhere else!!! Peace - JG
