going back this year
By ,
stayed at this hotel 2 x now, will be going back this year. Stayed at Turtel Bay last time and that was beautiful, but would of rather been at this hotel. Great service , clean rooms, perfect location, and great views. I have been to hawaii 8 time now and this hotel is by far the best one yet. They are a no smokeing hotel as almost all hotels are, thats a bummer for smokers. Wish they could give you free w-fi . Breakfast on the beach is a great little add . Take it back to your room or right accross the st. Dont pack beach towels they have them there. Eat at Dukes and Cheese Burger in Paradise. Do rent a car and go to the n. shore. Real Hawaii and Beautiful beaches. I would recomend this hotel to all my friends..

Would stay again
By ,
Our room was very spacious. Was told that we were given an upgrade due to 3 adults in one room, paid in advance, and they were not full. The beach was across the street. Staff very friendly and accommodating!!! The breakfast was nice. You could pack the breakfast to take to the beach. Nice feature. The elevators were a bit testy. Sometimes we ended up on the wrong floor because our room key wasn't acceptable to the elevator's programming.

great hotel for the money
By ,
We spent a week at this hotel. The service was great. Then rooms were clean. The hotel needs a little updating although you can see they are trying to keep up. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was good although on weekends you have to get their early or they run out of hot food. The location is at the very end of the strip of hotels and shops-a little quieter but further walk to the main shops and restaurants, not bad though. I would stay here again although I missed having a spa. No queen beds-2 doubles or a king and a pull out in the suite

great hotel /great location
By ,
This is a very nice and well kept hotel. The complimentary breakfast was great. A lot to choose from and not the same everyday. Enjoy eating breakfast poolside listen... to Hawaiian music while hula dancers perform. The location was great..right on Waikiki, but far enough down to where it is very quiet and not so busy. Still only a couple of blocks from all restaurants and the Int'l Market.. Right across from the beach and the zoo too. Everyone there was very nice and helpful. Whether it was booking a tour and getting our car, everything was done very promptly and efficiently. The only thing that was a minus was the room size (rm was very small and cramped), but we weren't in it very often so it wasn't that bad. It also would have been nice if they had longer pool hours, rather than closing at 7pm. But I would diffinitely stay again and plan to do it soon. Aloha

Loved Waikiki
By ,
This Hotel was very nice, not the best on the beach but a good place to stay. We didn't have a car in Oahu but with the location we didn't need one. There is a Budget car rental a few blocks away if you want a car for a day. We walked down the beach 200 yards and walked onto a great sunset cruise for $20 each. The International Market Place was a few blocks away. The Marriot one block from the Hotel has the best buffet I've ever seen for $25. Don't miss Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, this is a beautiful place not to be missed. If you don't snorkel the beach is worth going to by itself. We wished we had stayed in Waikiki all week instead of moving to Maui after 3 nights. WE loved the music every night at Tiki's, we could hear it from our room and sat on the balcony and listened sometimes. If you go to bed early (before 11) ask for a room away from the patio. The breakfast came free with the room,it was OK, not great, but you could find enough to eat, like ceral and pastries and it saved money so you could eat a nice supper.

Average Hotel at a Good Price
By ,
We stayed at ResortQuest in Oahu for 1 night just to crash before our early flight out to Maui. This place was second rate, but the purpose was just to get to a hotel after our 10 hour flight and crash which is what we did. Next time, I would skip Oahu completely and just take a connecting flight to Maui.

very nice vacation
By ,
My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. The hotel is very nice and updated. Plasma tv's on the walls, very comfortable beds, beautiful decorations and views. The breakfast (included in the price) is wonderful. Very good selection. Convient location, one word of advice if you want a relaxing vacation split your vacation on a more remote island. We went to Maui for the other half of our honeymoon. You won't go wrong with this hotel.

Short stay
By ,
Great location at the end of "tourist row", quick and easy access to the beach, good on-site restaurant and within walking distance of all that Waikiki has to offer. Excellent value. Not for those who are looking for upscale..this is a casual place. I would stay there again.

Buffet Breakfast Was Jail Food
By ,
This hotel was the last hotel on the strip. Its considered a 3 star hotel but I felt it was only a 2 star. The rooms are nice and the bed was very comfy but the rooms seemed very very old underneath the cosmetics. Flat panel TV's. The breakfast was the worst. It was all wrapped up in foil like you would get in JAIL (not that I've been there). Skip the breakfast and eat somewhere else. We had holes in our towels that were hanging in the bathroom. When I complained, they offered us a $50 room credit. We paid waaaay too much money for this hotel. For what we paid, we could've paid the same for a real 3 or 4 star hotel down the road. The beach was very close and convienent. We will NOT stay there again.
