Go back? I think not.
By Reviews, 10/22/08
I was very disappointed in this hotel. Housekeeping left the doors to our rooms open while they cleaned rooms down the hall. Also, a one-of-a-kind doll was taken from my room on the second day I stayed there. They refused to look for it either - I thought maybe the housekeepers had accidentally grabbed it with the sheets & taken it to the laundry. It wasn't exactly a place to go to relax either - it was a bit unnerving to have guards everywhere watching every move you made. I understand the security aspect, but the amount of "watching" made me a little uncomfortable.

The Ultimate in Luxury
By Nicole, 9/26/05
Although this hotel is a little pricy and it's hidden in the back roads of Waikiki, you forget all about it when you're greeted by the valet staff. Then, as you check in, the reception staff walks you to your room and shows you how everything works! Talk about excellent service! The whole time we were there, we never waited in a line more than 2 people deep. Everyone seemed to know your name. I picked up the phone to order room service and they greeted me by name. It was like nothing I've ever experienced. They definitely made me feel like a movie star. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to be treated like royalty.

Retreat in Waikiki
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/04
Every aspect of the stay was wonderful. Especially the evening Mai Tai by the sea at the House Without a Key. If you can stay here do so immediately.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/05
We loved our stay. The service was great, the people were so friendly. Smiles all around. Our room was clean, room service was prompt. I will and have recommended it to our friends and family. We can't wait for our next visit to the island to stay here. A.S.

House Befitting Heaven
By HBieley, 1/1/07
I visited this hotel twice: once as a lunch guest and once as a guest. Both experiences were tremendous. Outstanding service, in an understated elegant hotel. A rara avis among hotels.
