Kaanapali Alii, Lahaina

We have stayed here several times, most recently at Thanksgiving, 2008. We stayed in an oceanview premier condo which was decorated beautifully, two flat screen TVs, granite countertops, immaculate with daily maid service. I loved everything about it, especially hearing the ocean waves at night.

The Rooms need to be updated.New mattresses would be great.It would be nice to have more beach chairs during X-mas. The staff is always helpful. The beach is beautiful.

I loved this place. It was so perfect. I would deffinetly go back there in a heart beat. Its located perfectly. There's a nice path you walk to that leads to other hotels and resturants and a shoping mall. The Whalers shopping district was a great little area with a ABC store, clothing store, your all around perfect mall. That was my first time going to Hawaii and everybody always said oh its like a dream. I got there and it was what i expected not a dream but nice, then I got to the hotel and my heart sunk it was amazing. When i was there i felt like a queen! Everybody is so friendly, and the kids had a really fun time to. They told me it was like having their own little island or world. I was truly a unforgettable trip! (I highly suggest the Snuba diving at the Lahina hotel that was really cool, its for kids too!)

Loved everything about it. The view, the grounds, the pool, the beach, the employees. Can't wait to go back! The rooms were beautiful and so comfortable, expecially liked having the kitchen and dining area along with the bar area and stools. Also, spent a lot of time on the lanai.

Just returned from a one week stay at the Alii with my husband, and our 2 daughters ages 7 and 5 years. We cannot say enough about this gorgeous place! We stayed in a one room condo on the second floor which actually had 2 bedrooms as the owners converted their den into a bedroom with a queen size bed and 2nd bathroom. Nicely equipped kitchen, TVs in the living room and master bedroom, balcony with table & chairs, and lots of room to roam inside. It was reserved as a garden view but we had a view of the lushly landscaped parking lot and the ocean, too. This place is centrally located on Kaanapali beach with a fantastic beach directly in front of the resort where we boogie boarded, built sandcastles and relaxed to the sound of the waves crashing. Complimentary beach chairs & towels were provided by friendly staff. Daily maid service. Whalers Village is an easy 5 minute walk from here on the concrete path that runs from Black Rock to the Hyatt or beyond. Plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute walk so no need to get into your car to drive to dinner. We had such a great time that we cannot wait to stay here again! Believe all of the reviews... this place is awesome!!

My family and I satyed at the Kaanapali Alii this past August. If you would like to be right on Kaanapali Beach close to all the activities you can imagine as well as the great shops at Whalers Village this is the place. My family and I had a wonderful view of the ocean in a 2 bedroom lanai ocean view and found the staff and service to be fantastic. We especially liked that it was quite and felt islolated right in the middle of the Kaanapali Resort. We'll be back next year for sure. The Nolnod Family

Kaanapali Ali'i is argueably one of the finest condo complexs on Maui. Located on the spectacular Kaanapali Beach, there is so much to do, you don't even need a car! Great shopping, dining and watersports are just steps away for your fully appointed condo. I recommend getting a deluxe or recently remodeled unit, spend your money on a nicer unit with less of a view, you'll be out on the beach most of the time anyways! This complex has all the amenities of a resort, 24 hr front desk, concierge, pool, small gym and room service, plus a fully appointed kitchen in there BIG condos. These units are very quiet and comfortable. They aren't cheap but you will be able to cook for yourself. And don't forget to pick up supplies to use the spotless BBQ grills by the pool! The best part of the location, the spectacular Hawaiian sunets right out your door!

we liked the area we loved the beach the shopping is great. I would highly place this as a add for handiecap people for you are treated as a person. Yet it is so easy to get around. my wife and I both have MS. with our scooters we have not fond a place. where we could get around so good. to enjoy.

What a spectacular place. We rented a two bedroom unit with a view of the ocean over New Year's. When we first arrived, I stepped onto the balcony and spotted a humpback whale just offshore. Our week was truly wonderful. The unit was completely peaceful and the kitchen well appointed and fully functional down to the wok and Braun coffee maker. The staff was capable and unobtrusive. We could not have custom ordered a nicer holiday condo.

The staff of all departments played a huge role accomidating all our needs. We highly recommend our friends and family to stay at the Kaanapali so that they may experience the "Aloha" we experienced! Thank You for everything Kaalapali Staff
