BEYOND EXPENSIVE!!!
By ,
The hotel itself, is nice enough. There are many hotels closer to the main drag, but this hotel is still within walking distance to many overpriced hotels. The best food/drink deal at this place is a Snickers bar $1 at the snack bar. Beer is $7; licquor in $9 per shot; A continental breakfrast brought to your room with a glass of milk is $21 plus tax. Two eggs, bacon and toast is $17; coffee is extra. In-room internet service is ONLY $12.95 per day. In their "business center" it costs $.40/minute or $24 per hour. You can buy a 6-pack of beer for ONLY $15, but you better drink it fast, because there is no fridge in your room. To put it simply - this is an overpriced room in an overpriced part of town. On the up side - all of the help staff was excellent. This goes for the valet folks to the desk help. The room, itself was probably worth the price, but you'll spend $$$$ on everything you purchase.

would go back
By ,
very nice hotel and would go back anytime. we read a lot of complaints about there being homeless people around but that's how the whole city of atlanta is. we weren't bothered by any of them. we weren't too happy that we found out at the end of the parking garage that it was going to cost $21 for a day. staff was very friendly and helpful. beds were very comfortable. bathroom was a little out of date compared to the rest of the room but still nice. not too sure but don't think there was a continental breakfast given to us. i think for how much it cost, there should be.

Will never return.
By ,
Ordered shrimp and grits at Southern Elements to go after waiting 20 mins for a drink (Crown and Coke). When we returned to our room we found that they just slopped the food in a cardboard box. Would not feed it to my dog!! Oh, and it cost like $25. They did however credit it back to our card. Stayed at the Hilton and ordered Papa Johns( in a cardboard box)

Disappointed and don't want to go back next year
By ,
Attended a week long conference at the hotel this spring and I am hoping the conference planners choose a different site for next year. Though the support staff was friendly, the prices are outrageous and conflicted with other attendees in my group. The prices of some things varied depending on who you asked. Also ran into the issue of $50.00 per day deposit on debit card use if that is what you are paying your hotel bill with for your stay. They don't want your cash, though I offered to give it to them up front for the whole week. Very confusing and frustrating. Continental breakfast each day was boring and full of carbs - only protein to speak of was a boiled egg each day. The remainder was cereal, breads/muffins/pastries, fruit, some plain yoghurt, juice, coffee, tea and water. To eat a regular bacon and eggs breakfast in their restaurant it will cost $21.00; a bowl of oatmeal is $8.00, which I feel is way too spendy. They never asked if anyone was on a special diet, so you must be proactive in this matter. If you must stay downtown, go across the street to the parking garage, up to the 7th floor skywalk over to the Peachtree mall area and eat at one of the "fast-food" places there. Many of them, such as Dairy Queen, I think, open at 6am and provide breakfast for under $5.00. Eating at the hotel that week I was there I spent more on food and snacks than I spend on a whole month of groceries at home. It would be nice if they had would also provide a microwave and small refrigerator in the room for cold drinks considering how hot Atlanta can be. My room was fairly clean, but I also noticed where it was in need of repairs in the bathroom and entry way. This is a large hotel, so if you want to be away from the noise of the elevators let them know and you will find yourself in an end unit like I did, but be prepared to walk. LOL.

$16 a day for parking!
By ,
The Atlanta Hilton is a nice hotel, but there parking situation is beyond convenient. We booked our family reunion at this hotel, and were guaranteed $8 a day parking, but when we arrived, their parking lot was full and we were sent to another parking garage. Funny how the one the valet sent us to was not in the least the cheapest one. I will probably not stay here again.

Two star quality only...
By ,
Stayed at this Hotel last weekend. Rooms left a lot to be desired. There was hair all over our bathroom floor when we arrived. Then, found out the shower door had broken so they left the surround around the shower and put up a partial rod and shower curtain. You couldnt shower without flooding the bathroom. I cut my foot on the shower surround because it was very sharp. The clock radio didnt work so we never knew what time it was without looking at our cel phone. The green grasscloth wall paper and green carpeting and green chairs..took me back to tacky tacky 60's. Room smelled and I felt dirty the whole time I was there. Not worth the stay. Wish I had stayed a different place. Didnt eat there so cannot comment on the food.

Stay Away!!
By ,
Hilton needs to cut their losses and sell this dump. It's bad enough that the hotel doesn't live up to the Hilton name, but the staff apparently has had little or no Hilton Training. There is no service worth mentioning, just a petty Motel trying to profit off the Hilton name. The next time I'm in Atlanta, I won't stay here, but I'll visit this hotel to see if Hilton is listening to their patrons.
