Lodge Atlanta, Doraville

I checked into Economy Lodge in Bonifay, Florida around 11:00pm. I had to wait for the clerk to buzz me in. The first question I asked was "are there alarm clocks in the room?" She replied - yes. Upon going to my room I found no alarm clock. I went back and waited to be buzzed in again. I informed her there was no clock and she told me to use the alarm on my cell phone. I told her I would not be leaving my cell phone on all night and she replied she would TRY to wake me up. I was so tired I went back to the room and decided to leave my phone on. I turned back the covers and out of the corner of my eye I spotted a roach at least 3" long - not exagerating! I threw my things into my bag and was out of there in under 4 minutes. I took my key back to the office and waited once again to be buzzed in. I told her I could not stay there and why. She informed me they did not have roaches. I asked if she would like to go and see and at that point she went into the back and consulted with her husband to see if they had roaches. She came back and informed me they did not. At this point I told her not to charge my credit card and left. I went down the road and checked into Tivoli Inn which was a little more expensive but very well worth it. All in all, one of the worst experiences I have ever had traveling.
