Cobb Galleria Inn, Smyrna

Our vacation was ruined. This place was shut down by the state for not paying taxes This was just four days before we were to check in. They didn't bother to notify us in advance at all; in fact, they kept accepting reservations until the revenue agents showed up at the front door. We had to book another hotel on short notice that was farther away and more expensive; that really cut into the spending budget for our convention- get-away. To add insult to injury, they reopened a week later, after paying their back taxes; which means they had the money all along. Inexcusable

Even if it is little old building, the property is very clean... I liked the breakfast... It is very close to my head office and many restaurants to choose from... Liked the place... Will be back soon...

The place was horrible. I stayed there on the March 17, 2007. First of all we reserved a smoke free room in advance and when we arrived they said they were out of smoke free rooms. We had no choice we needed a place to stay. We were stuck with a smoke room. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT. Then late at night (around mid-night) there was so much noise in the hall. These people were SCREEMING AND RUNNING AROUND. I called front desk twice to complain and chattering still didn't stop. We didn't get any sleep.

hilarious place... Althogh the hotel looks a bit oldish from outside, inside is totally different. The hotel, especially the rooms were perfectly clean, amenities and stuff were satisfying, continental complimentary breakfast was great. My kids, wife and I enjoyed staying there after a long journey from Alaska. To tell the truth we felt at home. As kind front desk clerk said " I stayed smart ". Loved it.. If I come to Atlanta again definitely will stay in the same hotel......

This is an extremely clean place to stay with free wireless internet access in every room. A good continental breakfast is included, and the entire building looks like new on the inside. It's only a block off of I-85 and only a couple of blocks from the Galleria Mall, and is only a few blocks away from Home Depot's International Headquarters. It also has a nice but small pool and a nice exercise room. I would highly recommend it for business travelers.
