Very Clean and Comfortable
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/09
My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days and found the room to be very clean and comfortable. Probably one of the nicest rooms we've stayed in. The bed was very comfortable. I was a little skeptical about the big puffy bed pillows, as we use therapeutic pillows and forgot to bring them. But the pillows were awesome! They seem to have a large number of housekeepers and someone checks on them when they are done, because my husband went back to room for camera and they came to check and asked my husband if everything was OK. The continental breakfast was very nice and someone was there always wiping the counters and replenishing items. I was amazed at the number of people who would come in and stuff themselves and then take a plate to go (I guess for food for the rest of the day or something) and not even leave a tip! When something is offered for free, some people take advantage. One day they ran out of bagels, but I wasn't surprised when I saw what was being carried out. It was about 9:40 though and they close it at 10:00. There was plenty of other stuff to eat. The staff was very friendly and I know we'll be back again. The location is great for us.

Horrible Visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/09
The guest are allowed to drink beer and smoke on the walk ways in the furinture from thier room. These guest blocked stairs and walk way to our room. In the morining you had to walk over furniture and beer cans to get to the staircase. Spoke to managment and they did not care. Also took 2 request to fix the bathroom door hinge. I will never stay at this place again.

We stayed one night, rate was good for the area. Left my wallet in room, phoned then after traveling 2hrs and staff had locked it in the safe. arranged posting to home in Canada. Wallet arrived with everything intact.

Dirty!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/07
I stayed here-off and on- over a 2 week period and for the most part was happy with the front desk and housekeepers. However, I was giving my 5 yr old a bath and saw that the water was yellow. I called the front desk and they informed me that there had been a water main break and that I shouldn't drink the water or bathe/shower.Thank goodness I called. This after taking a shower earlier that day and refilling my water several times!! I realized that this could have been a one time incident and stayed another day. Much to my dismay, I woke up the next morning and noticed my back was scratched and looked at the bed and discovered no fitted sheet, burn holes in the mattress cover and a big yellow stain with various other stains. My coffee maker had an old coffee filter with mold beginning to grow on it. I called the front desk they sent over housekeeping to pick up the coffee filter and to check the bed. The housekeeper was shocked because not only did she see the stains I pointed out and the missing fitted sheet but stains and black hairs on the other bed which had not even been slept in-but she checked anyways. She was very apologetic and promptly cleaned the room. She was embarrassed when one of the clean blankets she put on the bed had an embedded stain that was permanent.Had I not known it was clean it would appear dirty to me or anyone else. I left a complaint on the manager's voicemail but only received a call from the night desk telling me that all I could get was a coupon rate!! I never asked for anything free from these people I just wanted them to be informed of the problems. I am so outraged by the utter disregard from the owners/ managers that I felt compelled to write this review. A discount on your rate doesn't erase the bad memory. I have a daughter who goes to school in this town and she has many friends and we will make sure to tell all of them as well as their parents about this experience and to not consider Best Western a place to count on when they are in town.

Decent Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/07
Clean, Decent, hotel...staff at front desk are very friendly, and helpful. My niece was with her mom, she's 10...I remember her telling me that she had a lovely time there, but she was afraid to open the door for the room attendant, because she looked like a whino...lol.

Couldn't wait to leave
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/06
When I stayed in this hotel in 2005 we faced a series of problems. First when we checked into the hotel our room was not ready. When It was ready we found stains of beer, pop, and god knows else on the floor. Since we were only staying one night we thought that we would just have to live with it. I do not see myself going back to this hotel in the future.we tried to get some kind of a refund but it did not work at all. The hotel/motel was so unclean and unsanitary. If you stay in this hotal then I would recomead asking them the last time the health inspector has inspected it

unsanitary room and poor management
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/06
We found hairs in the shower, on the towels, and one on the sheets. Some of the towels were also stained. We showed a towel with a hair on it to the clerk at the front desk and he also agreed it was unsanitary. Needless to say, we left to find another hotel. The next day we came back to see the manager. Despite showing the clerk a towel with a hair on it, the manager refused to give us our money back. He said there was no one else we could complain to because the hotel was privately owned.
