By Lori Vertetis, 6/21/11
help was snotty! we argued about hidden fees, never mentioned until check in, after that , had to ask for clean glasses, floors were'nt mopped, snubbed by the help, do yourself a favor, Southenmost point right acroos the street, great staff, reasonable prices, I could kick my self! I also dont like paying $25.00 for two cocktails , stay at southen most point and you wont, becase of the attitude we did not have Not One meal there, saved $ doing that also. the pool guys were awesome but that was it, run dont walk! ( to across the street)

Not worth it, stay somewhere else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/16/11
Comments from a Hilton Diamond member, don't waste your money here, overpriced. They gave me a terrible room with a view of another building. I requested an upgrade during the booking and when I checked in they told me that I was not going to get upgraded and gave me 1000 poits, I used 60,000 to stay per night! They do not value us here, just in it for the money. Wayne B.

Please Read, wonderful Time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/29/10
The room, Beach ,Pool Area and Location was great. We had a fabulous Time....location is very near Duval Street. I would go back without hesitation and stay here. We rented a scooter for a few days and the staff was very, very attentive. I have read the most recent posts and I can honestly say that all unfavorable reponses have been corrected and resolved. I can t wait to go back, I am from N.Y. and just got back.... to all the staff and Julian at pool and beach area.... thank you all , I certainly will be back! By the way, the pictures are ok on this site but they dont do the hotel true justice.... the hotel has a very wonderful feel to it.

Stay away from this place, don't even consider it!
By Bose_rock, 1/19/10
The temperature in Key West was very cold during our stay. A record low. But unfortunately, we had to sleep in this cold weather as well. The temp. inside the room on the first 2 nights was around 48F!!! The rooms had no heat at all. The staff had no extra blankets, no portable heaters and didn't seem to care. One staff member explained that they didn't have heat at home either. That certainly helped me out. The room wasn't clean and the furnishings were more like Motel 6. The shower, as explained in many other reviews, would deposit about 1 to 2 inches of water on the floor no matter what we did to prevent it. Imagine stepping out of the shower into a 50 degree room and standing in water!! Security didn't exist, homeless people were found sleeping in the garage area. When returning to hotel late at night, I was able to walk through the main entrance without seeing any staff or required to use a key card to gain access. The advertised partial ocean view, didn't exist due to large palm trees blocking the view. The advertised "botique suite" wasn't any better than a standard room at a Hampton. No microwaves, no coffee makers, (unless you like "nespresso" machines). Had to pay for internet use which was about as fast as "dial up". On arrival the room didn't have a clock or the promised i-Pod docking station. The beach area was "ok" at best and the grounds looked nice. The location was ok as well. Other than that, as many others have said, there are many nice places to stay in Key West. The people that give this place good reviews obviously haven't stayed at nice places. Either that, or they have relatives on the staff. This hotel will not survive in this competitve market. We can only hope that the next owners will transform this to a nice place. It certainly has potential. But for now stay away from this place. It is not worth the money and it is giving Waldorf Astoria and the Hilton properties a bad name.

Very Nice!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/15/09
Nice place to stay. Right off Duval Street in easy walking distance to all the fun. Nice and quiet with a nice pool and great view. You would think your on a small island. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Carry out right across the street. The evenings outside at the pool or sitting on the balconey where great. Nice ocean breeze. Very nice tavern right next door. Although it is a bit of a walk to get to Mallory Square from the Reach. Cab fare is cheap. The best thing was you could party all day and night and come back to a nice quiet place to relax and sleep. Would recommend to others. Matter of fact, we are planning to go back to Key West next year and I will stay at the Reach again.

Good place, up and coming...
By gobruins, 6/3/08
Just got back from Key West for a 5-day trip. We'd read several bad reviews about this resort (past 6 mths), but they seem to be working out their kinks, which is good for you if you are going.... we stayed at the Ocean Key last year and overall we were more impressed with Reach. Reach has very decor in and out of the rooms. Beach and pool are great, but definitely mix your drinks instead of relying on the poolside service which is infrequent. It's a little confusing to find your way around the hallways. Our elevator was broken near our room, but that just got us more exercise. Upon checking in, see if "Billy" can help you. Very nice guy who helped us get what we needed. Be sure you are not facing construction when you open your front door when you get your room number!! CONS: -There was no water in the fitness center. -Many staff were new and didn't seem to know alot about the area. -No fitted sheet!? -No internet or spa (you have to walk three blocks to Casa Marina) PROS: -Location (end/South end of KW) -Gorgeous views, beach -Some great staff

Can't wait for next time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/11/07
Very Clean, Safe and Friendly. My wife and I stayed there when we got married. When we checked it we were upgraded. We played in the pool and hot tub, then we walked to the ocean. Easy walk or stumble back from Deval. Although 4th of July is HOT it was fantastic. Big rooms, great view, and large shower seperate from the Tub. We got alot for the price.

Warning - Not a Wyndham Property
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/26/07
We booked the hotel think it was a Wyndham Resort. Upon arrival ... we learned at th desk it wasn't. All Wyndham perks are NA. The condition of the gweneral facility and the rooms reflected a property needing repair and more importanly cleaning. Be Careful... they ask alot of mony for a substandard facility

Pricey
By TonyT, 7/27/06
Stayed there for a long weekend, July 13 - 16. The place was somewhat rundown. Go elsewhere. Don't bother spending your money on this place
